*Lil staggers down the Castle steps... dropping to her knees on the path. Her hair falling wildly about her face*

*She tries to stand.. trips.. and tries again.. She moves across the grounds towards the Infirmary*..

*People are moving quickly out of her way.. afraid of this Wild Mad Woman from the foreign land across the sea*

* he bursts out of the infirmary door, lashing out at the guards who try to stop him*

*Lil can barely lift her head.. she looks up and sees a vision coming out of a building...*

Ben?.. </>

*She staggers forward.. one..two.. three steps.. she drops to the floor again*

M,LADY!!!! *he sees her drop to the floor and rushes to her aid*

*Hearing his voice.. she tries to crawl to him*

Ben.. must get to Ben... </>

*he kneels down to her level, and his stomach wound seeps* m,lady, what has happened?

You are safe?... *looks into his eyes... and noting his bandages and open wounds*


*She looks down and sees she is not much better herself.. her hand is bleeding once more and all the cuts and gashes are weeping too*


*giggles*.. We must look a fine pair!.. What would Paul say if he could see us?...

*she sways on her knees*

he would call me a hero and you his sweetheart...*he notices the advancing guards* although i do not have a sword, i swear if you come closer you will die by my hands *he breathes deeply*

*The kneel facing each other.. she smiles tiredly and rests her head against his shoulder*

*There is a gasp from those assembled within the Castle grounds as they witness this display of open affection between a the Kings Falconer and the Kings future wife*

Ben?... Is everyone safe now?

*he sighs* i do not know m,lady. i really hope they are.

*shivers*.. I am cold.. so very cold...

*he sees her shaking* you need to get warm m,lady. come with me, *he takes her hand*

*she leans heavily as she takes his hand*

*Together they stand, supporting each other*

*he smiles* it is fine m,lady *they walk towards the woods* come black hood! *the bird swoops down and lands on his shoulder*

*The crowd just parts as they walk towards the Castle gates*

nobody move! step back!

*He can feel her tremble as they pass through the crowd*

do not worry m,lady they will not bother us. *he holds her tighter and dares the crowd to stop him*

*She is grateful for his warmth as he pulls her closer*

*She looks through her straggly hair and sees the look of disgust on the face of Edwina as she stood amongst the crowd*

*as they near the castle gates he feels her shake again*
