If you haven't read it yet, pick up R.A. Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" (It's nothing like the movie!), I first read it back in the 1980's and it's well worth the time to read it, so is "Dorsai!", but I can't recall the author at the moment.

Dorsai - It's by Gordon R. Dickson. I've never read it, just looked it up on amazon once I'd figured out thier address (the first time I tried to order something from them they told me there'd be a four week wait, my local bookshop got it in two and charged me the same price but no postage so I haven't been back.) I love a good bit of Sci-fi but just don't get the time nowdays. Sometimes I rue the day I got unmetered access to the net.

BTW there's no need for a VPB in here as long as you ask first smoking is fine. If people say no then you'll have to borrow one from the Care unless you've got your own, like today.
