*Flamenco troupe entering; a singer, two guitar players and a percussionist*

*Taking over stage*

*Lights softening, spotlights on stage turned on*

Guitar player no.1: ”trammm-tram-tram-trammmm”

Singer (warming up): ”Ayyy, aaaaayyy”

”Ay, Tarara loca, mueve la cintura para los muchachos de la aceituna
la Tarara, si
la Tarara, no
la Tarara, niña de mi corazon…”

*appearing: Kristina, the Flamenco Dancer*

*dressed in black dress with long, tight sleeves, tight-fitting body, voluminous skirts*

*bright red hand-embroidered silk shawl with long fringes artistically draped around body*

*bright red flowers in her tied-back hair*

*red ’zapatos de baile’ Flamenco dancing shoes*

*starts dancing slowly, proud posture, sweeping her skirts, elegant twists of wrists, with fingers bent in classical Flamenco manner*

*increasing tempo, swirling around, skirts flying, clackering of heels, black fire burning in her eyes*

*crescendo, pearls of sweat visible at her temples, bosom heaving , frowning, dancing even more intensively*

Opens bottle of blood-red Spanish wine.

*finale, and now the dance is:

- fiery
- vigorous
- bewitching
- passionate

and everybody watching feel as if they were standing on the edge of an erupting volcano, feeling the heat and energy, invading their heart and soul*

*the crowd cheers*

*finishes off with a quadruple swirl, freezes, throws a blazing look across the room, accidentally knocking Løøny off his chair*

*Exit Kristina, followed by the gypsies*

*jumps to her feet, applauding wildly*

Brava, brava!

*stunned silence... wild applause*
