...and yet your parrot belonged to a pirate...
...and the charges were dropped as soon as it was revealed he was working to bring the pirates to justice...undercover and all...unfortunately it was so top secret at the time that only the highest officials knew about it, so the arrest was unavoidable...

Oh, I see. But what I don't understand, is how could he be working undercover to bring the pirates to justice, when he was the captain of the ship?

Is it really his fault if the Captain on the ship was killed & Al was *such* a good officer that they promoted him? After all...he couldn't refuse now, it'd blow his cover...
