Is that something in your eye? Or a nervous wink? smiley - winkeye

Did you find out what color her dress is so you can get a corsage?

Galen- Pitch 675(at the top of the tree)

Post 493

Galen

oh its nothing, just some dust....

yeah, she's got a teal dress, so a white corsage. i am going to go get my hair cut on wednesday too!

Evangeline

If you can't find white, or want something different, pale yellow roses would probably work well unless, what I'm thinking of as teal is something different.

Is your tuxedo black or gray?

Galen- Pitch 675(at the top of the tree)

Galen

my tux is black... and i asked her... and she likes white, and does not like yellow, pink or peach which were the 4 options presented to me by the florist!

Evangeline

Good of you to ask her so early. Not every guy remembers the corsage or considers their date's preference for flowers. My first corsage was for a Homecoming dance...bright yellow silk flowers, glittery ribbon, sequins,...it was awful.

Galen- Pitch 675(at the top of the tree)

Post 497

Galen

smiley - laugh hehehe
well i asked her what colors she likes to wear so the actuall color of her corsage should be a suprise to her!

Galen- Pitch 675(at the top of the tree)

Post 498

Evangeline

That's still awfully consideratesmiley - ok.

Thankfully, the none of the corsages or bouquets I have received since have come anywhere close to that first one: No sequins, no glitter...reasonable colors...

Galen- Pitch 675(at the top of the tree)

Post 499

Galen

that last one sounded quite the stunner!!!!
i bet you loved that dance eh? smiley - laugh
you will get to see pictures of me all gussied up and everything!!!

its so odd, i feel as though if i were to post lol instead of smiley - laugh it would be considered a crime, yet my instincts would have me just type it forgetfully.... do yuo experience the same thing? the odd part is that for the longest time i used to post smiley - laugh on AIM etc instead of lol!

Did I mention the sparkly pipe cleaners that were shaped into hearts?

Aside from the hideous corsage, the dance was just a laugh a minutesmiley - winkeye.... My date flirted with someone else most of the nightsmiley - grr(why didn't he just ask her in the first place?). Then he had the nerve to say "Oh, but I *don't* dance". After that a few friends(six) came to my rescue. They told off my date, escorted me across the dance floor and danced as a large group until he came to his senses....took about two songs for him to get the hint(I have very persuasive friends).

I found H2G2 before I did much IMing, thusly smiley - laugh seems more comfortable than LOL or BCNU. I do use the smiley - laugh and smiley - towel in IMs...but, I mostly IM people from this site. I have received regular emails from other H2G2 researchers that included things like < erm> and < laugh> and < towel>and < run> and and . So, it isn't just you.
