I get the feeling you are not a happy bunny. Alevels proving a strain? I know the feeling. Two weeks of chemistry coursework to be done by monday! It's not that bad. What are you doing after year 13?

Oh, the A-levels are fine. Most of them are currently easy. It's just Further Maths that's actually difficult at the moment. No, it's actual w*rking for money that's got me down at the moment. But don't worry about it.

Further maths? You have my sympathy. I'm having trouble with just maths. It seems to me, they take a perfectly sensible concept, then put ln and sin into it, which just complicates matter no end.

What module and topic are you doing at the moment?

P3, differentiating sin and the like, and M2, which i can do like falling off a log.

We're about to hit differentiating trig functions in P3 as well... *sigh* But we're not on M2 yet.

M2 is good. I'm the only one doing it, everyone else in my class chose S2 instead! Mechanics is my srong point though.

The rest of your class chose S2?? What's wrong with them??
Good for you taking mechanics, it's way better than stats.

I did P1 M1 and S1 for AS, and am doing P2 P3 and M2 for A2. Its just as well I didn't want to do further maths, It didn't run.

M2, P3, S2?
These modern terms of school-courses don't say much to me.
But in the rest I recognise the names of the glorious parts of physics and mathemathics.
And those are just the beginning...

P is pure mathematics, S is statistics an M is mechanics. Whats you're connection with the wonderful world of physics them Marijn?

and itook stats because, er, apparently its easier well just glorified tree diagrams really.

Don't underestimate statistics, good plan! Like all of those diciplines, they look easy at first.
But there is the old saying:
There are lies, d**n lies and statistics!

SATS is the Society for the Addition of a Towel Smiley.
And using statistics you can 'prove' that no sober people should be allowed to drive.

I actually own a book called 'how to lie with statistics'. its true you can prove absolutely anything. It takes the same figures and proves three different conclusions with it
