A Conversation for H2G2 Waterworks: The Beach

Here comes summer

Post 1

I'm not really here

*the harmonious music of the ice cream van is turned off in time to play Greensleeves to annoy the sunbathers. After a few attempts to drive along the sand, the van stops, and some muttering is heard from inside. The observant can see the air flicker and then a boardwalk appears. The van starts, stalls, swears, and starts again, and drives up the boardwalk. Greensleeves stops and the harmonious music of the Tibetan Monks can be heard once more. The window opens and an OPEN sign is hung out*

Hello! Boy am I hot, and do I need an ice-cream. So, do you do 99s with a flake?
If so, can I have a 999 with a twix in? I really need to cool down!

I don't do 99s with a flake in, cos that would be 2 flakes. I can put a twix in, would you like 1 finger or 2?

MaW

* A bolt of lightning lances from the clear, sun-filled sky. Where it hits, MaW is suddenly there, steaming a little because his clothes are damp and it's very hot here on the beach *

Goodness, this is a bit of a climate change.

* he rips off his coat, boots, tunic, shirt and hose to reveal a pair of incredibly stylish swimming trunks *

I'm going for a swim!

* he enters the water and splashes over towards Titania *

Hello!

Thank you! smiley - biggrin
