dang. Sorry. Right, go to HIS office.
Reefgirl, you're not allowed to post here, this is my sign-up thread. Save it for PS's and the Café (Non-Character thread)

Nuge, is it really worth the hassle of rigidly enforcing this? By its nature, one of the beauties of h2g2 is that someone can say something, and someone else replies, and conversations spring up all over the place. If everything that's said here is quashed straight away, the spontaneity goes. Of course, this is your Clique, so do as you see fit, but I do think that people might feel a bit more welcome if things weren't so strictly defined and regulated.
Just a thought,
Joe C

Fine, but I want to keep this as non-conversational, because I keep checking this and thinking someone has joined up, because about 97 new posts have appeared, but its all just concersations. So, if you wouldn't mind, I would prefer to have this thread just for sign ups. Is that alright?

I understand what you mean; look at places like the Magicians' Guild, the Spy Society etc, though. As this sort of thing grows, there'll be more and more people joining, and if you're not around immediately, everybody else can make sure that new people feel welcome even as they begin to find their way around here. Obviously it doesn't make sense to start up a new conversation here for the sake of it, and that's why there are social threads, but if the occasional discussion sparks up about something that's said here, does it really matter? No doubt you're subscribed to the social threads, so you'd have to read the stuff anyway. How about a middle-way-type-compromise-thing?

Nuge, I'm afraid I'm going the same way as Kat and Milla. It all seems a bit strict, and at the same time rather childish. Sorry I can't be more precise, I've just got a bit of an iffy feeling about this place.
I was never added to the list anyway, so you don't need to worry about that.
