Hi everybody!
I am not caught up on backlog and don't plan to! I have slow internet access at home, and honestly, I just want to get away from things and read, so don't expect to see much of me until mid-January. Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy New Year, Happy Kwanzaa!!!!!!
I will be checking my e-mail if anyone wants to get in touch with me: [email protected].
Lil, carry on in our little role playing threads for me!
Amy, it's been fun!
Babel, keep in touch. You know how. And good luck with everything.

Matina, a nice warm Irish coffee please.
How are everyone?

The cat (Ceefor) and I are well Marv. The snail I stood on when I caught it brazingly chomping away on one of my tomato plants is rather poorly.

You ever try to bait them with beer? If you have a lager that you do not like, put it in a bowel and set it near your plants. the little bastard slugs/snails will consume and die. Salt works too, but is rather hard on the plants.

molluscacide? *frenetically searching in her dictionary*
Nah! As usual! The words I REALLY want to know the meaning of aren't there, simply...
*assuming it's a smoother way to say you're killing snails*?

Titania, yes, it is killing molluscs. I usually use the crush method, though I may set up a water torture feature in the garden as suggested by you. As for Marv's beer trap... I do have standards...

Loony, I am sure that there is some bad beer about that you can use. I use PBR in my slug traps (pabst blue ribbon, the worst US beer I have had)

Marv, at this time of the year the bad beer (cheap and nasty) is served to visiting acquaintances... the ones who arrive not bearing a few cold cans to add to the diminishing stockpile of good stuff

Hullo, all!
Loony, we had snail problems one year. They kept getting caught in the sprinkler heads, though, and getting crushed. All the shail-relief, half the guilt.
Matina, a please.
