Back online after nearly a day of silence. The gaffer installed a new UPS but accidentally left the router connected to the old one. Your hostess discovered by trial and error that she and the gaffer are pretty much the only two entities here who understand the difference between the intranet of the facility and the internet. "You mean like, that's why Google isn't working?" sez the receptionist who did not pass my message on to the gaffer early this morning, because her computer looked fine to ~her~. Except that Google wasn't, like, working.

I think R is finally back into his normal routine after the move. S is looking into getting a regupar shift pattern instead of all the random shifts that nobody else wants. Then he thinks he might look for a new job. There us no career ladder to climb on his current place and he would rather do something with his degree.

You know how you get songs stuck in your head?

I did all day yesterday, I couldn't remember the words or much of the tune but was just *so* familiar. I eventually remembered what it was at 4.30 this morning. Loreen -Euphoria, Ti would be proud.

As Santra was singing just a few days ago - first, we take Manhattan... you thought he was only joking, right?

Sometimes songs get stuck in my head when I swear I haven't heard them in years. I'll be minding my own business and then Cotton-Eye Joe will start playing on the mental jukebox.

You'd think it could at least be a song I like.
