Huffpost and others sometimes embed Youtube videos, and if that's what you want us to see, you can actually do us a favor by giving us the speedier link straight to Youtube. Welcome to some new salonistas -- in no particular order, we gained nosebagbear, SashaQ, Florida Sailor, morseman, SiliconDiOxide, Gingersnapper, Freewayriding and pebblederook in the course of the thread. 2013 was the annus horribilis of your hostess, and my preoccupation with my personal travails led to a certain amount of neglect in the day-to-day life of this atelier. 2014 will be better. But the high point in my year consisted of the visit to Albuquerque of Pastey and Lesley, who got to witness first-hand my congenial living derangements. Lesley rode western for the first time and I brought them together with a good friend and his family for an evening at the local Chili's. And we talked a whole lot. And Irv came to see me later in the summer, for just a few hours. There was a stupendous amount of traveling, actually. Z went to Australia. Pastey went to Austria as well as America. Wow, and I thought a lot happened during the course of a normal-length salon thread! Of course, having significant milestones happen during the course of an extra-long thread may have something to do with it...

I wish I'd had an opportunity to proofread the entry for wrongly typed smileys and such, but I got a captcha on the preview and that rattled me. Especially when I got a second captcha when I hit post.

The time to use captcha is when someone registers. Thereafter they are an intrusion and a sabotage. Has anyone else here experienced them here on h2g2?
