I will never be last to the forum!

No, my bicycle hit a pothole, my arm went out to catch myself, and ... it worked, from a certain point of view! (I have not, as of yet, gotten tired of describing it thusly.) I had to have surgery and my arm's in a bracer. I've been having a near-constant stream of "it could have been worse" from all directions, including my own conclusions.

Ouch! I have unfortunately been there myself. And your description is apt.

Thank you all for the well-wishes.
In other news, I also do not recommend sleep deprivation, it's unpleasantly like being drunk.

I don't know, are you?
Arm's doing reasonably good. The doctor authorized taking off the bracer more or less for good, and there's one more appointment on December 22 before I'm allowed back on my bike.

That sounds promising. You probably should study up about not trying to beat roads and things with body parts though - I have found that the road usually wins.

I have been having issues with my log in Anyhoo I have re-registered with the same name but starting with a capital letter. Of course my home page is gone, but then nobody looked at it anyway...not even me.

I did try to log in using my user number and stuff but I was too thick to get it to work.
But it is not a big issue I am quite happy re-registring

I got locked out a few weeks ago, I sent an E-Mail to the Tech team and they reset my account and sent me a temporary password in only an hour or two.
Great work team!

You know what they say - there's no 'I' in team, but there is both an m and an e which spells 'Me'.
