We have a lot of nutcrackers on our tree, as well as decorations that the kids have made themselves,

Santraing from CPH, I can't offer much of decorations. The crisp bag is shiny when you turn it inside out. Will that be okay?
Boring news: plane is 40 minutes late for take off.
Yukky but releaving news: the dude who was sick in a waste basket isn't going on our plane.

Oh, that's all you need, is somebody bringing norovirus onto the plane.
Hopefully they'll be lifting the lockdown on our wing tomorrow. The elderly men in this hall don't know how to amuse themselves except by watching television; one of the activities staff has even staged bingo games in the hall, which is kind of funny to listen to, since a fight nearly broke out once. "You cheated!" one 94 year old fellow was yelling, "You're a cheater!"

If you want "fun", try being in a NORAD bunker under 600 feet of granite and a lake - when blast doors are closed for total lock-down. Air and water go into re-circulation mode, so ALL smoking and extraneous beverages such as coffee and tea are curtailed entirely.
After about 4 hours, people begin to get very short of fuse. By 24 hours, ...

I decided earlier this week that I'm going to close the brewery down for a while over Christmas, once the beers in the fermenters have fermented out enough to be put into casks. Which might be some time next week, or the following one
Either way, I want a few days off where I don't have to go into the brewery.
This weekend's another Brewery Tap open weekend, and I've no idea if it's going to be quiet, or horrendously busy, or somewhere in between. I'm rather selfishly hoping for horrendously busy as it makes more money 
Anyone got any mince pies?

Here's the mince pies we had at a meeting yesterday, where it turned out the organiser felt obliged to bring them for a festive mood, but nobody there actually liked them!

Krita is slow to load -- although the slowest-to-load app I have is Netbeans, an IDE, integrated development environment. But it hasn't crashed on me yet.
I don't expect anybody to even start posting art till after New Year's day.
And I've been playing with Krita using a mouse, until I figure out how to use a tablet while lying on my side. It makes me appreciate the paintings all the rest of you put out.

To celebrate the winter solstice, Ladera's kitchen is celebrating the Dark Night of Cuisine: there will be no alternate menu selections, only whatever they choose to give us, until the 1st of January.
Today's lunch was a grilled cheese sandwich with boiled yams. Please sir, can I have some more?
