Congratters to Irv - hope it all goes smoothly.

Lil - I have passed the message on to Scrumph, thank you!

The tragedy in Belgium made me cry this morning. So horrible. While looking it up online I found out that yesterday, in Florence (where I grew up, practically) a racist gun-man shot five Senegalese street traders, killing two of them, and then turned the gun on himself. He was known to have associations with far-right anti-immigrant groups. I know the streets, the squares, where all this happened. I've walked there so many times. I even bought a silly tee-shirt I still have somewhere from a Senegalese trader. I feel like I'm standing on ice - my childhood is somehow melting and distorting beneath me.

I don't know what in hey has gotten hold of Europe these past few years. Everyone seems so much angrier, and if the 'ordinary folk' are so much angrier, what is this doing to those who were borderline raging already?

I wonder if ordinary Muslim folk have been saying things like that to themselves as the terrorists in ~their~ politico-religious group started killing people.

Terrorism covers all religions. In the 70s and 80s it was the Irish blowing up the English, time moves on and things change, but underneath there are still small groups of hateful people. It's only the cause/blame that changes.

I actually saw a bit of sunshine this morning driving to work. It's gone now. Must have looked around, not liked wht it saw and retreated behind the clouds again. smiley - sigh We have so much gloom in the winter that I've started taking vitamin B3 supplements.

Sunshine? We go as far as having some starts out at night for the time being - but the sun apparently likes to pull the cloud duvet back before dawn... smiley - erm

Not vitamin B3. Vitamin D3. smiley - blush It is supposed to make up for the lack of sunshine.

I don't have a clue if it really works. It's inexpensive, so I thought I'd give it a try. I get plenty of natural sunlight other times of the year.

If it's not expensive, it's certainly worth giving a go smiley - smiley

It's been very foggy here.

I managed to pass my pretest for economics, a subject I have absolutely no love for. I will be taking the actual test next week. I have 8 topics I need to study in more detail in the mean time.

Well, as far as I know, the only way for the human body to create vitamine D requires direct sunlight on bare skin.

And as for the benefits of it, here in Sweden there's so little of it during the winter that pregnant women with dark skin are recommended by official health advice and smiley - doctors to take supplements, because they have very low levels of it. Can't remember what the skin colour had to do with it.

I definitely feel I get more energy when taking it as a supplement.

To make the scribing easier, Would it help if none of us say anything of any consequence for the rest of this thread?
