I've used plain yoghurt with the added Lactibacillii (?) Acidophilus and Bifidus after/in combination with a heavy antibiotic cure, since that often knocks out your own 'good' bacillii as well as the bad guys in your guts. I find it helps lessen the side effects some antibiotics tend to have on your digestive system and also helps the system get back to normal faster. Apart from that, no idea.

Guinness works exceptionally well when it comes to adding iron, and cleaning your system. smiley - biggrinsmiley - runsmiley - towel

Cut down a Christmas tree today. Only snag is that at 80ft high and over 2 feet wide at the base it's never going to fit in the house.

And the top 8 feet was somewhat demolished.

14/14, here, once I got it working in Chrome. It wasn't working at all in Firefox for some reason, even after I disabled all add-ons, so I guess it wasn't just my ... preparedness-against-evil-websites at work.

Yeah, I personally visit websites directly from my bookmarks. If I were to somehow find myself on the "wrong website," I'd be tipped off by NoScript blocking it from working properly, or in extreme cases Firefox announcing that the site was listed in its database of "attack"-websites.

My sleeping has been particularly bad the last couple of days, so I haven't been feeling well. -- You know what, it'd still do me some good to get some fresh air and move my body, so I'm just gonna go out for a walk.

Candi - now 42!

As far as I remember, I think I read that there is no evidence that those special probiotic products are any more effective than live yogurt.

I got 14/14. Some of those sites just looked phishy.

Sorry, I had to say it!

Got home this evening to discover the old white oven had completely vanished, to be replaced with a shiny new black oven.

Which is fantastic, as the old oven was acting up and occasionally blowing every fuse in the house.

But it is also freaking me out, because though we'd told our landlord the oven was borked, he most certainly hadn't told us he'd be dropping by with an electrician or two to replace it while we were out at work. WHO WAS IN MY HOUSE? WHAT DID THEY FIDDLE WITH?

Hey, all. Forgot to check my score on the Phishing site before closing the window smiley - erm

Anyway, as I said yesterday, I've got some news: My direct supervisor at work has tendered his resignation, and the Powers that Be have seen fit to appoint me as his replacement.

My one competitor for the job is currently on vacation. She knows, and I'm sure she's not happy. Especially since there was no interview process. I hope she knows I didn't *ask* them to forgo the interview process.

Irv that sort of sucks in that it causes some friction between your colleague and you, but congrats for the promotion.

Congrats, Irv! Hope the transition is smooth and with no co-irker fallout.

Oh, and thanks for not being the only one who didn't check their score... although I think I got all but one. smiley - winkeye I'm unbelievably paranoid, and have been known to refuse to open/click stuff that was later proven legit. I don't know whether to be encouraged or appalled that the crooks are getting so sloppy...too lazy for spell-checker? Really?

It's been very wet here today; there's a lake in the back garden and the banana stem is almost touching the ground, they're so wet. Have no idea what type they are, as they never seem to be ripe -- and it's DECEMBER. Probably plantains.

And there's a large cheque in the post, because a customer is being unexpectedly delightful and paying in advance. Still waiting for the last of the materials, hope they don't turn up too late to get it to him for Christmas. It's not specifically been commissioned for Christmas, but I said I'd try.

... Apropos of nothing except glancing at my (computer's) calendar, the phrase "Oh, Friday the Thirteenth falls on a Tuesday this month." (Odd how ideas from the Pogo comics have stuck with me.)

It used to be that the company owning my flat had a set of keys to every flat, but after someone broke into their office and broke into the safe that held the keys, they had to replace all the locks pronto.

After that, the only one to have keys is the inhabitant/s of each flat. If something needs to be done, you have to either stay at home to open the door or leave your spare keys in a small metallic tube inserted through the front door. The tube is locked from the outside, and that's the only key they have at the office.

If I'm not expecting any handyman, the tube stays empty while I'm at w*rk.
