Matina, two doubles of Jack Daniels please. Yes the black crystal nip glasses. Crush the ice, I really, really hate bruised bourbon.
Ahhh, Munich, lovely city. Both times I went there (1972/73) they put on a beer festival to ensure my stay was pleasant.
Shearing magazine is, how can I put this, a niche magazine pitched towards people who make money out of undressing sheep.

Freedom you may think you are deep but in my little world you are the highest of the high after that brilliant, accurate, observation.

ThThanks for the JD, Loony.
BTW: a nice description about your work
You are right about Munich - I like the city and as I have very good friends over there, I'm one or two times per year poping over for few days, it's always great fun. I try not to go during the October Fest, though, cause it's so crowded in the city then, that I can't stand it at all!
Okay, RL is calling. See you later.

Will that be the do at the Crossed Purposes?
*happily* My word, look at the backlog! Gwen, the prescription sunglasses are a truly worthwhile purchases. I spent a fortune on mine and they are worth it. Looney, in addition to the hazards of snow in the west, we Floridians endure the glare of subtropical sunshine compounded with smog which, rather than obscuring the light seems to turn the whole sky into a glaring reflector dish.
And thank you for the advance copy of the Shearing Cover. Personally, I think the title is ambiguous. Consider "Granta", the British literary quarterly. Shearing could be a quarterly about sharp tools or a writers' quarterly or a bleeding edge (you should forgive the pun) yuppie gift catalogue...
And, speaking of publications, I have been taking in all that my nephew Mike has to say about Heavy Metal and this band or that, and finally I was curious enough to find out more for myself. The local bookstore had an across-the-board 20% off one-day sale yesterday, so after picking up 3 of the 4 Harry Potter books and a GQ with Kevin Spacey on the cover, I perused the "music" magazine racks.
I put music in brackets because some of the publications were about rap, and a number of them appeared to be fashion-oriented. In the end, I pulled 3. One of them, Heavy Metal, had appeared promising on the stand but was a disappointment in the end. It was cheap paper with several glossy pages interleaved, and was extremely poorly designed and produced. I dropped it and went on to Hit Parader and Shockwave, the latter of which I actually read with interest. So Steppenwolf invented the term "heavy metal"! So THAT's what Slipknot look like! But what a plethora of look-alike bands...

Hello?
Ah hello Lil! Sultandude...
I'll go and have a look at that thread...
I'm going to a party in RL soon enough...
First thought I was going as Arthur Dent (yep, with the dressing gown, the slippers, and my towel, M&S of course!), but I've had a word with some other people who are going, and they're going as themselves...wouldn't want to embarass myself now would I?

Depends on what they are. Imagine the freedom to dress oddly as a matter of course in a multi-species environment, never mind Halloween. I just made my entrance at the party with a costume based on recent reading, and probably no-one will even notice.
People who go to Halloween parties as themselves are weenies.

These red coveralls are really comfortable, actually.

G'evening folks,
Aah, I love Virtual life! It allows me to be at many places at the same time!
Matina, may I have some of Titania's champagne, please?
