This one is only half silly. I work till 0100 MDT. It is not too bad, but I would prefer a four day week to go along with it. I am in negotiations with my manglement as we type.

Well I got myself some new contact lenses yesterday. Quite nice I thought, especially when I just chucked them away after wearing.
I'm not wearing any now because the main reason I've got them is so I don't smash my glasses up doing sports.
And yourself?

I'm fine...getting ready to start my weekly and end of the month billing to my clients, enjoying my coffee and a bit of chat.
I've considered disposable lenses myself. I haven't worn contacts in years. Been wearing wire-rimmed glasses since the 60's. I wonder if they could come up with a smiley that had wire-rims?

That would be good I've only recently started wearing wire rims, the lenses used to be too thick for them, now it's high tech thin lenses, which means high cost
The disposables seem not too bad and the cost at ~1GBP per pair when if I lose or break my glasses its ~250GBP replacement cost.
I used to wear gas permeables and these ones just felt so nice, even when sitting in front of the computer and on the tube ride home

They sound comfortable and practical. My eyes are changing with *ugh* middle age and I really haven't discussed options with a professional as far as lenses go.

Well I've not got to the middle aged sight changs yet thankfully. My eyesight is bad enough as it is.

There are some wonderful eye 'exercises' (actually a form of yoga) that I've been neglecting for a long time as I am essentially lazy. Of course they will only help if done regularly. I should have taken better care of myself when I was younger, I suppose but only now am I mentally and emotionally 'quiet' enough to resume yoga.

Hello, all. How're you doing?

Hmmm, eBay. That's interesting. My Parental Units are on eBay alot lately...
I know I should be taking better care of my eyes while now. But I can just never put the books down while I read in bed. It's always "Just one more chapter, just one. What can one more chapter do?"

I seem to be the only one online. Guess I'll just log off. I've spent the whole morning on h2g2, anyway.

Dang, missed everybody.
I'm sort of not doing anything right now, waiting for a delivery man to get here with my Photoshop upgrade. He wouldn't leave it here yesterday, I gotta sign for it.
What I'm selling on eBay is my late dad's Leica stuff. There's a lot of it, much in fair condition, and the fellow who appraised it thinks I'll do well if/when collectors see it. It dates back to the early 50's. I haven't put it on the block yet because of waiting for this delivery all day, but will this evening after I've gone out to run my errands.
As for eyes... mine are deteriorating as well, not least because of all the time spent in front of cheap monitors at work. I used to wear contacts all the time, but after I was in a car accident I developed "isolated right 4th nerve palsy", which means the eyeballs no longer coordinate perfectly. Astigmatism, I guess. So I can't wear contacts to any effect, and I can't decipher those visual stereograms that were such a fad a few years ago. And I wear wire-rims...
Matina, may I have a Y of champagne? Where is Chloe?
Matina: folding pillowcases.
I'm going to give her some space in my studio, and materials to draw and paint.
