Camaris Teh Blak Kitteh

I'm a very naughty boy. I had Mags and Aaron worried for a small portion of Friday morning.

Well, they were watching the lection risilts (I'm sure that's what they said) and they left the window open. I climbed out, spent the night on the tiles in Marple. I came home because I was hungry (and needed my litter tray - well, a boy can't do his business in a public place, can he?)

I'm safe and well, and even got some tuna smiley - evilgrin

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

I just can't believe that Cam needed his litter tray after being out all night (I can't actually believe he went out, but Aaron opened the back door and there he was - the number of times I've left the back open and he's just looked out and then retreated *his* sofa!). He's currently sat in Tifa's cage eyeing the greens I've put in for her. He's a flipping big lumping twit - and he's very much loved here (and he knows it).

Thank you, Ben for sharing him.

One of my cats is like Camaris -- goes out for the morning, then she comes in and uses the litter box.

"It isn't an engagement ring. Just jewelry. Or so I keep telling myself."
Hyp, It sounds like an amazing jewelry set! I'd be emerald green w/ envy, except I'm so happy for you.

Many women WOULD turn it into an engagement ring, though,(cautionary warning for any of you gents that give jewelry to a girlfriend w/o engagement intentions.)
A male coworker asked advice of a female coworker about his idea to give his then girlfriend (now ex-wife) a birthstone ring for Christmas. The first thing she said was, "Is it going to be an engagement ring?" Male: "No! We're not planning on getting MARRIED!" Female: "Well, it would be better to make it a different piece of jewelry, then, so there is no mistaken Intention, or the raising of The Topic ..." Male: "No, I think a ring would be best." Female: "She's going to assume it's an Engagement Ring." Male:"No, it will be OK." Male: (first thing after Chistmas vacation) "Well, you were right ... we're getting married..."

I saw those pictures of the Greek riot dog a few days ago, Lil. Amazing little fella--I hope he finds or has a good home between kerfuffles.

Was the riot dog a sort of yellow labrador mongrel ? I was watching TV the other evening . There were live pictures being shown in the background. I could not tell you what they were talking about I was to busy watching the dog. He was very brave barking at the riot police . He needs a proper revolutionary name like Lennin or Trotsky.

Happy National Etiquette Week!
It was mentioned on Public Radio, but when I Google it for more info, such as when it was first celebrated, I saw that it is listed as May 10-14 (?) so I guess the weekends don't count.

V, how wrong is it that I find that story about the non-engagement ring very funny?

I've lost my temporary wedding ring. I've lost so much weight that I can't wear my real one until I get it resized, and I want the guys who made it to do that because it has enamel in it. Besides which, it's an excuse to go to Oknkey. So I went into the tackiest jewellers in town and bought their cheapest ring to so that I'm Spoken For. And I've lost the burger. smiley - huh

Actually, I mislaid some paperwork yesterday too. I found it again, but it's never a good sign when I start losing things. smiley - erm

Spaceechik, Typomancer

I had an eventful night yesterday. My apartment almost burned down! Fortunately, the fire company is only a block and a half away, so they got here in less than 10 minutes, and got it knocked down quickly (more in my journal). Everyone's okay, not a *lot* of property damage, and none on my side of the wall. *shakes a fist at Freddy* Shove off, you!

Eats, I meant *no* disrespect for the troops, who are literally, as Ben pointed out, dying for others' right to vote. I was expressing a feeling of relief that there were enough folks who *wanted* to vote, that it was a mixed blessing, that they had to be turned away.

smiley - hug for those with sore heads. I count myself extremely fortunate not to have those. Kudos to FG for getting through her meeting, with a migraine. And sympathy to Ben, for having to make such a frustrating trip with little results. smiley - cheerup
