I have lost weight since going to the gym. Jolly good thing to as otherwise what would be the point? Unfortunately working seems to be interfering with my schedule as does the fact that we've all had a shocking cold here for the last week. Actually I quite enjoy it. The Star does too. He gets to hang out in the creche. They have taught him to spin.

I had more Chinese leftovers tonight, courtesy of V, and still have enough for lunch tomorrow. Then I'll get round to the rest of the leftovers, like from Sunday breakfast!

I also spent 55 minutes on hold to the unemployment office, simply because the online certification handler noticed that I hadn't earned any spare change this week. But it was worth it to find out that there is yet another extension of benefits available to me, and that I'll be covered through the new year.

Outside in the rain the concrete is about to be poured for the first floor of the new building. In the rain. I'm glad I'm in here watching it happen rather than out there on site working.

The part of the city where I work has once again filled up with students. In a few weeks it'll be like they've not been away and the emptier streets of the summer will be a fading memory.

I know what you mean, Phil. I live in a college town. Every year at this time, it seems like 80,000 people suddenly came out of the woodwork. Traffic is terrible (well, terrible for Montana), bars are crowded, cyclists dart out in front of my car...Mongol hordes? No, just university students.
