Odra, Styx made me move Violet over to block the french doors into my apartments. She's in the half-barrel on castors, lurking in the darkness over there. I think she snacks on fireflies after we go to bed.

Styx got a bit angry over the behaviour of the other candidates, especially the cat-stealing. I'm to lock my studio door when I turn in. Violet blocks the other exit pretty effectively. And Styx keeps watch, not that that will stop anybody from the discontinuous history-rewrites that seem to be so fashionable these days.

Bright newbie at the cafe tonight. I've invited him to the atelier. Named VALIS420, just so you know if you're online later and he shows up. He's interested in the campaign, too, but I don't know as he's been here very long. If he flies straight into the campaign, the way it's been going, he could get the bends.

I lurked on Styx quite a bit today; he was really pissed off. But then, from his point of view, he was dissed by a couple of opponents. Still, he's not going on about it or throwing his food bowl at the wall, so I guess he reckons he's made his point.

Another beer? I have maybe half an hour left in me; I've signed off all other threads for the night.

Mm. Another sounds good...want one? l can get them.

l think l might be here if he comes up; being as how l've been off so much, l'm revelling in access again. Good to be home...

Remind me never ever to stay off h2g2 for more than fifty minutes. The backlog just gets obscene.

Actually, I had about 60 posts to read at the cafe this morning, just to catch up! Between Valis and Kes, bedraggled Survivor gone AWOL, the place was really jumping. There was actually a serious discussion there, too, on colour theory. I mean, researchers can be like a plate of jumping beans, there they are in the same thread but snapping and spazzing in different directions. There was some froth and cheek, but it was unusually good fun.

I wonder if we can get the campaign issued in book form? What an enormous amount of spontaneous material, and some of it worth another laugh. But there's never time.

I think Sporky is voting for one of the candidates that hardly logs on but once a fortnight any more. Of course that is better than the ones who seem to have disappeared entirely.

Well, it's a varied lot we have here at the Atelier. lt's basically the best parts of the Cafe with a more established base of people who drop by, and the conversations tend to be a little more in depth.

A good explanation of the layout of the place and some backround is to be found by clicking the yellow link labeled "Lil's Atelier" at the top of the forum. l know you may know that, but l didn't know how new you were.

Anyway. lt's just a nice place to chat, discuss, argue, and be informed. Lil does digital art and photograph restoration -- currently deep into restoring a tintype of Billy The Kid -- and some of her work, and the works of others, can be found in the Gallery on the main Atelier page.

The best way to get an idea of the place is to read a bit of backlog, make sure everything you say is continuitous with the rest of the posts, and to make yourself at home!

Did you know Hunter S. Thompson had a cameo role in The Adventures of Pete and Pete! It's True! He was an old man tooting a party horn on the sidewalk in the New Year's eve episode! Michael Stipe and Steve Buscemi were two more of the cavalcade of cameos to appear on the forgotten great.
