Well I have time for one Y glass of champagne before I finally catch up with the latest batch of h2g2 guide entries I should be subbing - and should have been for quite some time.

Lil, how about letting me know how you would treat something like this. I am leaning towards a "maybe". There are already some good entries on condoms and this one, in my opinion, is a bit brand-sensitive. (Pun intended)

What's been happening today then Lil, that requires the genius duo downstairs?

An enormous mushroom cloud at the banquet. One that ended well for the Celery-Webjello ticket. The latest perp was last heard speaking proudly about his scenario and complaining that it wasn't handled more creatively.

The basic premise seemed to be that if you say something exists and you say it louder than anybody else, then it exists. If you say something doesn't exist, then, even though you throw things at it, it doesn't exist. Never mind if that doesn't make sense. It doesn't. And yet there have been two murder attempts based on it.

Oh! I forgot! I told Joe he is a penguin and I haven't gone back and said he's not. Well, I need to eat, but I'll do this one post then eat and be back later on tonight.

*turns and rushes back to lift*

h2g2 seems to get weirder week by week.
Last week, somebody decided to leave because I had complained about a continuity issue. I hadn't been online for a couple of days, and the forum I was in was just about to be brought to an end, and so somebody had set the scenario that the police were on their way, so i suggested we get out fast, next thing I know I am meant to have been stopped on my motorbike by the police and stripped and bundled into the back of a paddy wagon. i hadn't even left the building in question at this point. So I complained and stopped posting. Everybody thought I had gone off in a huff, so i posted to somebody elses page to ask what was going on? I thought I was being friendly and it resulted in a third party leaving! How petty can you get?

Two words. Teenage angst. I remember it well. Al least I didn't get pimples. Well, not many anyway. Maybe a few. Inconsequential really. Mum still loved me. I think. I hope. A few problems with dad. Probably a male thing. I don't know. I really don't.

I feel better now. That all erupted just when I was fixing to get out of the office, read the latest Brills Content and fix a meal. I nearly had hypoglaecemia (did I spell that right?) by the time I left the hotel. Apparently there's a funeral thread, which I really must visit later. Right now I will join Witty M in a glass of sanity.

It's cloudy IRL, raining a little. Wonder if I'll get to see any meteors.

Valis, another feature of h2g2 threads is the simulpost. You whack the reply button, write your considered and spell-checked response, hit Post Message, and suddenly discover that you have inadvertently snubbed up to 5 other people if it's a busy occasion.

How does one avoid snubbing others?

Valis, use a generalised opening like "G'day all". Alas, you will then get a lot of responses saying "It is nighttime in my time zone".
