Brilliant scribing, as ever.
I never did mention my wedding, it was only last year so most of you probably remember that it was very small, there were eight of us. Did Abor Low afterwards and and went for an Italian in Buxton in the evening. Very low key (and very purple - well my dress was)
At the weekend we had a BBQ (in the rain) for around 50 friends and family. Well, you can do these things when you're my age and have no parents to please (or not, as the case may be)

Well done Marv!
Jolly good scribing everyone. I think this might be the earliest I've ever joined the next conversation thread!

* Skids* across the freshly polished floor managing to land neatly in the Comfy Chair whist carefully not mentioning deceased avians, sellers of solid dairy products or indeed any questioners from South West Europe.

The tune of 'Always look at the bright side of life' will stay forever imprinted in the muscial section of my brain

Yes, you know life is orderly when the Mysterious Stranger is where he belongs among the potted palms and aspidistras.
Irv and I were talking about altering the scribing methods before his life got belayed. We thought it might be a good idea to turn it into a sort of relay instead of a cloud of independent essays. I always do the first 500 posts, and then will pass the text file to the next scribe, who will add to it and then pass it to the next scribe, and so on. The final scribe then passes the whole thing back to me for final embellishments.
This would make it easier to maintain the initial list of who was here, and, by extension, who was last.
The only downside I can see is that, if you volunteer to do a section, you have to do it on time, so that the next scribe gets the text file in a timely fashion. What do you think? Can we be that organized?
I think I am besotted with the Argument skit because I was doing philosophy in uni at the time, and the way they tore holes in the whole seminar concept of formal argument was sublime.
No it wasn't!

I think my favourite Python sketch is either "The brain specialists" or the Kilimanjaro interview. Also "I will not buy this record, it is scratched" is brilliant.
Excellent scribing indeed.

I think a relay-scribe would be a rather good idea, Lil. As you say, it *would* make it easier to list the order of appearance and also it would allow for updates on 'topics of conversation' easier.
On a related note I'd like to put my name forward for scribing this time - I've not done it before so, so please be gentle

Would you like to take the next 500 after me, then? And you're right, there would be lots more continuity in the "other topics" list as well.

Then there was the gang of marauding grannies who went bad "when they got hooked on the crochet."
Sounds like a plan to me, Lil. As long as you don't run it like the Spanish Inquisition.

Oh, I love the Cheese Shop skit. Dead Parrot is good, but overdone by neophytes.
