Impressive, MR!
Yes of course it's a real wedding. But I'll blag an invite to any follow-up supplementary celebrations
Rum and coke not good with breakfast. Bucks fizz, on the other hand, or a bloody Mary...

Sorry I didn't mean it that I wanted a bigger wedding. Just that I don't think there's anything wrong with a big wedding.
And this is perfect as far as I'm concerned...

get married when you want to, have a party when you want to. If the two are on the same day then fair enough. If they don't, never mind it's your party and your wedding..

Well , the stompies upstairs went to work this morning without putting on their hobnail boots and running from one end of the flat to the other . So maybe my puerile clomping around at 6:30 yesterday morning made an impression .
I watched MJ's funeral on TV in the White Horse with a few of the regulars , or rather it was on while I was in there , I would not wish to give the impression I went there to watch it . We were not reverential and much p*ss taking was carried out throughout
As to the new chrome operating system , I can only see it being a good thing , I use the ubuntu distribution of linux so I left the microsoft dominated world a couple of years ago .

Bookmouse Posted Jul 8, 2009
Erm...where do I start? Can't actually remember the title of the book I'm currently reading, which is a bad sign...erm Ursula Le Guin - oh yes, The Earthsea Quartet. I'm on book two - The Tombs of Atuan (I think). Also dipping into The Tales of Beedle The Bard (JKR) and Life and How to Survive It (John Cleese and someone else whose name I can't remember), plus should be reading lots of books about Jesus and the synoptic gospels (for a Guide Entry).
Saw first episode of Torchwood (v.g.) but not in last night and won't be in tonight or tomorrow night - alas! No recording facilities/things to record onto so I hope it's on BBC iPlayer otherwise I will be Very Upset Indeed.
Hope the interview outcome is the one you want, Marv.
Mini - I am worried about you. Perhaps you should go to the doctors about your headaches...

It sounds like the locals aren't confusing your library with Goodwill so much as the town dump, Hypatia!
MR, what on EARTH did you manage to sputter in Eric Idle's direction?

those library thingys are ! Thanks, Z and d'elphant...
Would've been useful when I had my *huge* SF collection before the move, now I've only got a teensy bookshelf's worth...of a couple of SF, a couple of mysteries and mostly reference books. I'm thinking of calling using the move as a demarcation: Before Bookopolypse and After.

Hypatia when I worked at a charity shop we got a lot of peoples rubbish, some them were wet, dirty and covered with insects or broken. And when we opened up there were bags (quite often rubbish) outside the door even though there is a sign saying not to leave items when the shop is closed.

I have a verbal offer. I will sign the offer letter tomorrow afternoon. I will be starting on Monday. I'd start sooner but I have been deathly ill this week.
