English Genius
You scored 86% Beginner, 86% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 77% Expert!
You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!
Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it!
i'm flumoxed think several teachers would disagree with that, plus in uk

Advanced
You scored 93% Beginner, 93% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 66% Expert!
You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels' questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don't use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score.
OK...
So explain how I failed English Language O level (Twice)

As for singlehood, well, I spent my lunch hour smooching Mr. Wrong.

You know how things happen in threes? We had number three this afternoon.
A woman had been in and checked out some movies. She left but came back a few minutes later and told circ that she had locked her keys in her car. She asked to borrow the telephone so she could call her house and have someone bring her a key. The phone we let the public use was busy (that's another story entirely) so she stood there for at least five minutes and waited. Then she dialed her number and the phone rang inside her purse!
I couldn't help myself. I went in my office and closed the door and cracked up.

99%, 99%, 99%, and 99%.
Cool!
Hyp, I cracked up too. Are you sure you're not on Candid Camera?

'You scored 93% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 88% Expert!' Hey, I still have some brain cells left despite the beers and the years!
And for the continuing supply of birthday wishes, everyone!

I think I ought to point out I was a professional proof-reader for a while. Being able to spell is simply a weird knack I have. I'm not really clever. Just... spelly. Comes of spending my entire childhood reading in my room because I didn't have any social skills.

Because my spelling, grammar, and all around general state of my written English is appalling. True, it has improved a lot in the years that I've been resident on hootoo, but it is still pretty bad.
[And there will be a awarded as a prize to whoever corrects the errors that I'm sure that I've made in the above two sentences]

It's bad enough that I have the pleasure of correcting my dad's spelling and grammar mistakes. Not gonna do yours too GD.

Why am I still up at half-past-one in the morning? It's not even as if I like Chris Evans. In fact I hate Chris Evans. Where's the bathroom?

Just home from dinner. While dinner was nice and worth a post in it's own right what happened next is far more post worthy.
We were in a fairly bad car accident tonight. No one was seriously hurt but J's car is totaled and all of us are banged up and bruised a bit. We were turning left on to the street our apartments are off of and we ran head on into a car that was speeding through a yellow light.
The airbags deployed and we caromed into another car (this one recieved hardly any damage) and came to a rest. We all exited our vehicles and were more or less in one peice. I have a nasty bruise on my shin and my head had an abraision either form the airbag itself or my baseball cap (my only actual baseball hat (Boston Redsox)) being forced off of my head at great speeds. J has a bruise on his chest from the seat belt and J is really shook up; this being the only accident that she has every possibly been at fault in.
Thankfully everyone is OK and we are home safe now. Tomorrow is another day and some asprin and sleep will help us get through the night.

Thanks Jo Anne (hope it's alright to call you that).
I am OK, I have a nasty bruise on my right shin. At the moment it looks like I have two knees. Depending on how I feel in the morning I might go see a doctor.
Cest La Vie as the frogs say.

I wanted to post a reply to Kelli's observation before my train of thought derailed... Somehow managed to pick up a small but many-legged flu bug.
> this doesn't actually help at all, if anything makes me angrier becuase whatever my outward appearance I will *always* be a fat, uncomfortable, unhappy person on the inside.
I find it offensive when people who are naturally thin rag on people who aren't. I used to be 215 pounds. Now I'm 165. I may not be a skinny-minnie, but I certainly don't get treated the same way now that I was then. I've never been naturally thin, and keeping the pounds off is a daily battle.
These people fail to look at the inner person, and only look at the outward behaviors. Overweight people get hungry too! It's even worse when you are overweight and people give you 'approving' looks because you've made the right food choices.
So it's a sore spot.
Now people ask why I'm not an elitist female snob, because I'm mildly attractive. What can I say? That attitude is so far off base that I can't begin to explain how wrong it is. Beauty comes from within.
Key: Complain about this post
