DD (if I've unscrambled your anagram correctly), I too am going pretty sleepelss for the world series- I'm not even a Rockies or Red Sox fan, I just enjoy watching baseball- I've booked a week and a half off work to avoid having to turn up on very little sleep.

OK so the OS won't boot as the raid system is degraded but we have placed a service call and need to wait for an engineer with a disk.

Ponders why it's called the World Series. Does any other country take part?

Well, the Toronto blue Jays theoretically could.
I seem to remember hearing something about it having been foudned by the World newspaper, not sure if that's true,, or just an urban myth.

WA Canada have a team which has won the World Series. I have a few days to take before I start the new job, unfortunately on one post match day I'm covering for someone else so can't take that day. I could take next Monday and Tuesday off to allow my last day to be the Wednesday. However, If it goes beyond 5 games my first two days in my new job will be on the back of potnetial all nighters.

Awwwww. Wasn't that when you first got her?
Is anyone willing to scribe the new conversation?

No one would envy me my weather this morning. Cold and rainy.
Sweet snap of Ripley.

Ripley has the cutest smile.
Auntie reset my nickname this morning. Turns out my anagram was offensive. Ah well, I got away with it for the weekend.

i wonder why there aren't as many (any?) sloth stuffed animals as there are, say, monkeys. i find them quite cute.

Things are downright nasty here, what with the smoke and ash from the fire. One of my daughter's former teachers was evacuated!

Yes, I too have been wondering why there aren't any sloth soft toys - I'd love to have a soft sloth back pack!

Sloths are adorable. That one in the box looks like she's smiling.

I will read the backlog, I promise, cross my heart an' stuff...
...but on my way to the dentists today I rang into the local radio station for a phone-in competition - and won a doctors and nurses outfit!
I also have a chance of winning an ultimate dress-up wardrobe on friday, including Rainbow Fairy and Queen of the Nile.

Hope you win, Beatrice.
The temperature has steadily fallen all day and it is still raining.
I will be pulling for the Red Sox, now that the curse has been broken.

I'm always fairly underwhelmed by Hallowe'en. Role on Bonfire Night (then the Royal Mail might take the big plate off the local postbox that they put on to stop fireworks being shoved in).

I don't know if this happens to everyone as they get older or if it's just me, but I don't enjoy holidays in general as much as I used to. It's not nearly as much fun without kids around to decorate for, buy pressies for, bake for, etc. On the other hand, I really don't want to be bothered with doing it all anymore. I'm tired. Dang. I hope I'm not turning into a grinch. Or my mother!
