I'm home from shopping, not working this weekend smiley - smiley

Hopefully I'll make it to the pub tonight for the rugby.

It's gloriously sunny here, the leaves are falling and there's a little nip in the air: hope autumn is more seasonal than summer.

I like the anagram generator. My new moniker seems rather appropriate after the morning I've just had at wo*k.

Rev Nick, you could mess with the settings -- I think it defaults to words of a minimum size of 4 letters. What would happen if you enter 'Reverend Nick'?

The order for my Evil Queen costume was cancelled because they sold out. smiley - cross And they didn't let me know in time to order something else. So I am in a desperate quest for an Evil Queen costume. Plus, they charged my credit card for it and now I have to get that removed. Grrrrr.

On a cheerful note, BC#1 took me shopping yesterday and I got a nice baker's rack and a matching corner stand for my dining room. So, I put my new autumn dishes on the baker's rack and now can put my cookbooks back on the bookcases where they belong. They've been in a pile on my bedroom floor. I have too many books again. Must take more to the library.

Having screamed myself hoarse at the telly (the neighbours must think I was actually being personally crushed to pulp under fifteen burly South Africans), I am now deeply despondant. Especially as the South Africans clearly deserved to win the Rugby World Cup, and England seemed to get rather flustered and make silly mistakes they SHOULDN'T HAVE Bsmiley - bleepY MADE.

Ah well. S is now watching the snooker. Onwards and, err, onwards. After Rugby, snooker is extra-specially like watching paint dry. Don't tell S I said that.

I actually got excited about a piece of IT and Management course-work this afternoon. Dear Bob, help me, but I am being Turned to the Dark Side and by Christmas I'll even be able to discuss Microsoft Office without making even so much as one sarcastic remark. And then I'll just have to buy shiny white plastic armour and go live in a Death Star.

Wanders in, late again. Sorry it's the new job.

Look if you're not well enough to go abroad are you really well enough to go to Blackpool? Ok yes ill people should still have holidays, but it's a lot of work for us. Hence my lack of presence on H2.

Oh yes and the fact that I'm revising again for yet another exam.

STRANGELY STRANGE ( A brain on a spring )

Nice to see you Z, yep seaside towns must be busy as holiday makers sometimes do more silly things than when at home.
.
There is a new Puddy Tat in my backgarden and think the birds had better watch out as New Cat, which is as good a name as any, seems bit of a killer as doesn't stroll but seems to be in hunt mood all the time as crouching and sticking close to walls. I heard a loud screetching yesterday and several Magpies were semi mobing it as it was trying to have a go at them.
.
Finally got around to cleaning mould of my newish leather jacket from water dripping on it. I used baby wipes as gentle and a good general cleaning way as not too wet. The mould seems to have gone and the horrible mushroomy damp smell has gone from inside as dried out now. Even if mould came off ok if it had smelt of damp still I wouldn't have worn jacket again as people would have thought I didn't take baths!

Do you ever stop revising for exams Z?

I did watch part of the rugby - the almost try and a bit after that.

That seems a bit off Hypatia, though I have in the last week got a refund from an online retailer for a cd I ordered. They took a couple of months before deciding they can't get it but still advertise it as available.

Silly things being - drinking too much, taking overdoses, forgetting their medication, not taking their water tablets because of long coach journeys. Not drinking enough and going into renal failure.

And no, I can't imagine not taking exams, when the MRCP is done (2010 at this rate) I'll probably be doing my Dipolma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in Liverpool. To keep up with the studying my friend and I are going to start doing Medical Science podcasts.

The podcasts sound like a great idea, Z.

Well, back to work today. Not that I've stopped, considering all the oddjobs I stuffed into the "weekend". And -- thanks, St. Freddie -- I missed the dinner for the Brazilian psychologist. Got the date wrong, would you believe. smiley - rolleyes

Oh well, life is getting easier. One house-sitting job is finished, the second finishes Thursday. The smellfungus has gone quiet, but that's probably not good news.

*strolls in, not at all late...*

I didn't watch the rubgy. I watched 'Remains of the Day' instead and enjoyed it very much.

My name is an anagram-free zone. I used 'bad vid' one year, and I think the only alternative is 'v. bad id' which is just stupid.

You could anagram the second part quite effectively, though -- like 'Warbling Raisin Lingo', or 'Raring Willing Bonsai'. smiley - smiley

smiley - geek Played Diplomacy for the first time yesterday. I've never known a game where a move takes so long - what happens is that everyone submits their moves - moves of armies and fleets - at the same time and then you (or in this case the computer) work out the result of it all (whether attacks are successful etc). But before all that you talk to the other players and promise to support each other in attack and defence. Then you can go and do something completely different leaving your supposed ally in trouble. And then you do it all again, and again, and then it's time for dinner.

David could be DB Diva.
