Sounds like a fool's errand to me, Affy. I'll see if Arlecchino wants to join in.

Hm...
Not that I was much help in the last quest (Except for the last bit, which turned out not to be needed after all
)

Mr D - have you thought about trying that 'last minute' place for hotels? My daughter often gets really good deals by booking one of their mystery hotels.

Irv: "When will this week end???"
Probably at the weekend.

Bagpuss, it feels like that should have been two days ago.
I think this is mostly due to the fact that I'm incredibly behind at work, so each day feels longer than it should, but each time I come in I've got a bigger load before the holidays. Today has been my most productive day in weeks. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to the office Xmas lunch (out of town), but I won't be able to enjoy it, so I'm working instead.

Wait, are you suggesting a trip to find out what may, in fact, lie on this X? Hmmm...well, ignoring for a moment the fact that the X covers a notable percentage of the entire country in question, that could be done...

Well, I'm having a head start on you - Finland is a lot closer to here. If you want any advance scouting (!) parties sent out, let me know...
Last day at w**k before (may I borrow one, David? Thanks!) Jan 2
And all with three days off. Mon-Wed are national holidays here as we do the big Christmas thing on the 24th and then generally visit each other and eat more on the 25th and 26th.

Belated thanks, all!
Oh, and Ripley says thanks too...
*squints at Affy's ornament, trying to figure out, roughly, which part of Finland the X is marking, seeing as she's only a 12-hour ferry trip away from Finland*

Hmmm... it seems that now you can become a Lakota citizen, get a Lakota passport, a Lakota driver's license - and pay no tax. I have some doubts about the infra structure though...

Um... we'll see how the U.S. reacts to this. This could be either a really big deal, or a tiny blip in history.
