Of the mouldy cheeses I think I like Cambozola garlic the best - think Gorgonzola but a bit milder. Can't stand Gorgonzola unless it has been mixed into a sauce and heated up.
Stilton... - unfortunately, I have a trouble finding a decent Stilton in Sweden except around Christmas time...
And most cheeses taste a lot better in room temperature, I find...

I'm not much of a fan of blue cheeses. I prefer a strong not-blue cheese. Possibly herby, but preferably not. There are some wonderfully strong welsh cheeses that I rush for when we have food markets in the city near Christmas.

Strangely , you have my deepest sympathies regarding noisy upstairs neighbours . At present they are fitting laminate flooring in the flat above me and this week i am working nights . Fortunately my parents have gone to Cornwall for a week , leaving their house empty , so i am now sleeping on a campbed in their kitchen durring the day .
On a brighter note ive' got quote of the day on the front page .

Quote of the day, yay!
All cheeses are good. Cambazola, stilton with port, gorgonzola, roquefort - ooh I love 'em all. A nice slice of Spanish manchengo with a glass of dry sherry - heaven.

Tod, although I don't really llke wearing them, eardefenders from a DIY shop are quite good for crying kids and too noisey DIY when you can't sleep and at only around £10 are worth it.
.
This noise insulation lark is going to be slower than expected, although I suppose I expected it to be slower anyway. There is more insulation above the floorboards than I remebered so am surprised it is so noisey, however all I can do is the best I can. It does seem I will have to take all flooring up in all my flat though as can't just put extra insulation above floorboards in one part of flat as there will be a height differance.

Yea , and once they have finnished refurbishing the upstairs flat its going to be new neighbours . I wonder what they will be like ? Its all very unsettling when things that are going to impact on your life , are so completely out of your own control .

Feta drizzled with good olive oil and served with crunchy red bell pepper on melba toast chevre is best with zaatar (ask Hyp) on unleavened bread. Trog's aunt is a gotaherd up in the wild west of Lebanon - have I mentioned Lebanese goats before? They have the eeriest big blue eyes with these long long eyelashes - she milks her goats, as you do, and makes products to sell - all raw and unpasteurised, curdled white cheese, yogurt, labneh, curds and whey - and this stuff she makes from the colostrum. It sounds foul but it is verrr tasty with honey. That gets saved for the kiddies, sickly and weak though. Tradition.
Oh, make me stop! I just have to think cheese and my hips widen
Last night I dreamt I slapped my Year 3 geography teacher across the face. Certainly felt good but I couldn't tell you why...

Tod, if it gets too bad and you have high ceilings there it is possible to put a suspended sound insulated ceiling in. One of of the renovation programmes they had noise from upstairs so put a suspended ceiling packed with rockwool and about 6-8 inches thick if I remember correctly, and it worked.
Can't do that here as ceiling too low sadly, great for a Victorian building with high ceilings though.

Whoa! Lentilla, that looks just like something my godmother hides her spare loo roll in on the back of the cistern. My other aunt's tastes run more to the flamenco dancer design though.

Thanks for the advice strangely , Actually i do have high victorian cielings , but it would be such a shame to cover up all the beutifull coving and cieling roses .

Hi Tod, yes, must be all the talk of cheese - because I have not actually eaten any cheese for at least ten days. I have to ration myself you see
Did I say Trog's aunt was a gotaherd? Well, she has got a herd but I meant she was a goatherd

Living within walking distance of a Trader Joe's is the only thing I really miss about Sacramento.
Well, friends too, of course, but they're not things, so that still works

My dreams have been quite entertaining lately. I credit the cough medicine the gave me. I can understand why the prescription is not refillable.

Cough medicine dreams are awesome.
Had a very strange dream last night. I was at Disney Land with one of my ex girlfriends. I'm not entirely sure which one. Strange.

I dreamt about work last night... Very boring, irritating dream. Go figure!
My coworker has just brought me a big bag of basil! Yum! Now I will go and make pesto...

Oh, and I haven't met a cheese I don't like. I love feta cheese with olive oil and bits of red and green bell pepper, and lots of black pepper!
