With no family history of hypothyroidism, it is a possibility that I got zapped by rads when w*rking in radiology in spite of wearing two heavy lead aprons at once, we had no throat protection then, my badge never registered an overdose. Years later I read an article that said those badges were not nearly sensitive enough . So wear yours, B4 and go for regular tests, if available.

I have spent most of this afternoon saving my photos from the card and will stick some on yahoo when I'm done. Then I shall have the dv footage to do.

I went to see 21 Grams tonight. It's an interesting film but not an easy one to watch because it's a sort of jigsaw of scenes that aren't presented as a chronological narrative. It takes a while for the relationships between the characters to emerge. It's one to watch on the big screen rather than on DVD - it would be a strange person who would want to watch it over and over again, I think. Definitely see it if you're trying to give up smoking.

I saw 21 grams too Amy, the other day on the big screen. I thought they were trying to mimic the style of mememto - but they really didn't have any good reason to do so. I don't understand what they were trying to convey by it.

I also didn't like the depiction of the priest. Having met people like that, who are working in poor areas helping people, and hearing interviews with them, I don't think they usually take an attitude of righteousness, the way the character in the movie did. They're usually there to help, whatever it takes. IMHO.

B4 mentions fuel outages and my propane tank runs out. Teuchter imagines criminal activity at Fort Stanton post office and what do you know They had a break-in last night. The perps didn't find anything except a package (which might have contained a cake with file filling), because money orders and cash are kept in a monster safe, but they ripped out the comm wiring in the process of knocking out the counter grill.

I need for you all now to imagine me winning the lottery.

I'm finding that I get antzy every time I leave h2g2 for just a few hours these days. One of these days, I *WILL* get the FTTF Mug....maybe not this forum, maybe not next, or next, or next, or next. But within the next decade, I hope to put the mug into my trophy case.

Tonight was a night of cullinary firsts for me. I was invited to go to a Brazillian grill with some friends. I had never been to that sort of restaurant before, so it was a treat. I also tried two foods that I have not had the chance to try till today. I had Aligator and Rattlesnake, both in sausage form. All I can say is that I did not care for either. Other than the reptile that did not suit my pallet, I greatly enjoyed the experiance. The food was all wonderfull for the most part.
