Well, another one bites the dust. I got dumped by my PL last night, and heard all the Break-Up Greatest Hits in the process, such as variations upon "I Had Time To Think About It", "It's Not You, It's Me" and "I Want Us To Be Friends". I was under the apparently grossly mistaken impression we were having a good time. Then, on the way out the door, I got accused of not liking a roast chicken dinner he made for me three weeks ago. I wonder how long he fretted over that. It's definitely a first. I've never lost a boyfriend over a chicken.

Thanks, Affy and Z. Actually I spent last evening crying my eyes out--I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of breaking down in front of him. I was cool, calm and collected. I'm very proud of that. I've been through some nasty scenes in the past. I'm moving into the disgust stage today.
