Yes T, I beg your pardon I believe it is Icelandic. Could be whale meat and not shark too. But surely you must eat pickled herrings.
My mother loved 'em.
I like cod and chips but I know Swedes don't like cod. I think you would prefer Haddock. The other fish my mother liked was fresh water carp.
Not being "nosey" you know. I just like to find out about Sweden and the stuff the folks get up to.

We had fresh water fish when I was a kid - if you lived with someone who knew how to catch them - but at that time there weren't any fish markets near here so saltwater fish and seafood were rarities. I didn't have any to speak of until F and I were married and we moved to the Gulf coast. Now we have a great fish market and most of the grocer stores have fresh fish and seafood. And guess what? Now I wish I had some freshwater fish. Especially crappie.

just eating breakfast before working post office this morning.
Oetzi, not only do I remember the old currency but I was newly married to a Brummie and working as a supermarket cashier during decimalisation! There may never have been any other time in which my Americanness was more welcome than to the managers of the Five Ways Tesco in February 1970.
The merchandising of the new printer I was going to get next month, the Epson 4000, has been delayed till March.

Oh, and I finally watched The Two Towers last night. Part of my season holiday involves not sitting at the computer but in front of the telly instead. So anyway, I hope to actually go see Return of the King this weekend on a BIG SCREEN. Woohoo.

One of my brothers looks very like Viggo Mortensen which is rather offputting. So you lot can share Viggo and I'll have Orlando Bloom all to myself .
I might try to see The Return of the King tomorrow.
Today I went into town to look at The Sales. I came back with absolutely nothing even though I really need some clothes and I'd set some money aside specially .

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Dec 27, 2003
Woke up this morning and had to go shovel again. It has not snowed again, as yet, the snowplow cam through and buried the entrance to our driveway. I also had to dig out the garbage can and move it into the street proper so the garbage truck can get to it.
Tonight, I will have all 3 of my children as well as my niece here. They all still have gifts from me to unwrap.

Just before they built that big concrete Bull Ring retail development in the centre of "Brummie" or Birmingham... eh Lil?
You would not be working on the till now girl! You would be the deputy manager at least.
In fact Walmart would probably have you as CEO of the whole UK operation.
It's called ASDA here in the UK.

Sorry, Amy, but Sho bagged boy two years ago on the thread. Faramir is also rather lovely.
No1 bro is on the committee of a team of engineers that go to earhquakes. They are on constant alert to drop everything and go, they are a mix of civil, oil and military engineers, very brave men indeed.
H has been working on hard on puting my new PC together, but only for getting the new bits to see the old bits as I need a new case with more fans. I am clutching a copy of Lionheart, but can't play it till the new video card goes in.

I get to call in to work to see if we are up and running. I rather suspect that we are. There is the side issue that I might not be able to drive up the canyon however.

Zonmker, It is good to hear that you get to have some kind of Christmas with your kids, even if it isn't Dec. 25th.

Going out for a drink with a very good friend tonight - we realised we haven't spent any time "just the two of us" for a year at least!
