The STBX surprised me by buying me a book I can actually use on medieval women's monasticism. I'm rather shocked, actually.
My daughter is attempting to sit through The Sound of Music, and for the first time, I'm realizing how trite this movie really is.

Another night with only four hours' sleep.
This is beginning to irritate me.

Ben, what's going on that you're not getting the sleep you need? Is it having Stepson in the house?

It must be the planets, Ben, I haven't slept past 5 am all week , H has had in bed every morning this Xmas week. Mind you, he deserves it, I get in bed on w*rking week mornings. I can't realy complain, especially as he has devoted a lot of time to getting all the new stuff in my PC to see each other and I was actually able to play a game.
What is more I can even get Studio 8 to open and I am in serious danger of beng able to complete the dv from our leaf peeping holiday!

You aren't even getting snow, Hati? Gosh, Still, I am not entirely convinced global warming is to blame, at the risk of starting a contentious subject, but I only have A level Geography (30 years ago ) and Discovery Channel documentaries to back me up on that one.

I don't beilieve it's gloval warming, after all we had the coldest and longest winter of my lifetime only last year.
We had snow, even twice. Terrible amount of snow with trees breaking down and whole areas without electricity and so on. The lowest was -13C. And it lasted only couple days, in October. The other event of the same kind was scheduled on Dec 23-24. It started to rain on 25th and by now most of the snow is gone. As usual the snow was unexpected and caused havoc in traffic.

Marv, I just realized that I should have warned you on Christmas about the front. It rained like cats and dogs here, which means snow in your neck of the woods.
I completely forgot...Z, I am now a nation state. I've started the Most Serene Republic of Wrinkled Socks. Come visit me!

Ben I'm sorry that you've not had much sleep, if its any conseltation I call 5 hours a good nights sleep, almost equivelent to a strong cup of coffee.
It's snowing here, great big flakes of snow, the sort that might settle and bring the nation to a standstill. We're UKian what ho! snow can ruin us.
Oh no it's turned into rain.
Not that it matters both are no use for gliding in, I'm starting to seriously go into withdrawal. I even miss drinking coffee in the portocabin cum club house and discussing the weather.
MR why not come and join us in Hootoors harbor (note the USian spelling) our very own h2g2 region.

Marv your road clearing is apalling...that must not be a popular resort. Do all the visitors have 4x4s. Does the local county not provide enough maintenance? Amazed.

Oetzi, You say you had CO poisioning Be careful!
Just got back to Glasgow from Hampshire. Gave up last night and stayed in a travel lodge, not exciting, but all you need is a warm bed and some
The last 50 miles were a worry, the electrics warning light has come on, and tightening the fan belt (which was a bit loose didn't help ) I think I need to find a beetle specific garage and get her looked at.
