They were shipped by TNT...it was that Ok...but they subcontracted them out. They should have been in separate pens. There was a few gee gees in with 'em apparently. Centrally heated and air conditioned of course. Cost: £1 889

Now me, I'm just not a dog person, and having a doberman didn't help. Cats for me.
Ah, it is Christmas week. I have Seabiscuit and Finding Nemo DVDs to watch and Uru (a computer game) to install and play, and lots of food to eat. I will forget about work for a whole week.

I'd love a dog, but we are both out at work all day, so it just wouldn't be fair
As for a we go off wandering quite a bit, and that is less easy if there is someone to be responsible for
Well, I'm getting on with my sewing, I've just spent a couple of hours fitting a pocket to the jacket front.
Would have been alot better if I'd got the left side of the jacket rather than the right to begin with still, at least I had spare fabric

Evenin' all. Just got back from Meatloaf's MAnchester gig about an hour ago, and I'm off to scotland for a week tomorow, so I won't be in for a while, just thought I'd drop into the Salon as a courtesy before buggering off. The weather forecast yesterday seemed to be predicting snow all over scotland. Ah well.

I'm a dog person and a cat person and a bunny person and a hamster person, etc. If it's furry, I'll fall in love with it. Fortunately F loves animals so he doesn't mind when I bring them home.
My candy is almost finished. I just have one more to make and that's an easy one. But I doubt if I get to the cookies tonight. they'll have to wait until tomorow. I made pumpkin bread and used the whole wheat pastry flour (added an extra egg and 1/4 cup of water) and it's delicious. But I don't think it would make good sugar cookies or shortbread.

forcast for Christmas, have fun Egon.
I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to go back to my parents for Christmas, I'm getting the last train running from Birmingham to Wigan on Christmas eve. So if this s up we'll have problems. Well actually my parents might get upset and we've always spent Christmas together so far.
I've also decided to be a bit less indentifiable on h2g2, I don't really want to say exactly where I'm working in the future, so I can have a good whine about how much I hate it from time to time. I'm also not mentioning my real life name online. The problem being it's only 1 click from my personal space.

Egon, no snow here yet, but we shall see what tomorrow brings. It was cold enough for ice to be about this afternoon.
Was the Meatloaf concert good?

Meat Loaf was awesome- he's in startlingly good form considering he collapsed on stage less than two months ago- he came on stage under a blanket on a stretcher pushed by two backing ingers in nurses uniforms
And the point at which, for two minutes, the audience of in excess of 20,000 people all singing, at the top of their voices:
"You took the words right out of my mouth
Oh it must have been while you were kissing me"
over and over for several minutes, more-or-less in harmony, with rhythm kept by 20,000 pairs of hands, the band stopping playing and Meat just encouraging us, was absolutely sensational.

It's the second time I've sen meat- I saw him in the big tent on Liverpool's king's dock in Summer last year.

I like Meatloaf, but if I hear "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" one more time in my lifetime, I think I shall scream. Same goes for "Stairway to Heaven" and "Sweet Emotion." Overplayed!
I have no idea what to call these things, but here's a good recipe:
1 stick margarine
1 stick butter
1/2 c sugar
10 graham crackers, broken into 4
1 c nuts (raw, peferably)
line baking sheet with foil, and place graham crackers on it a bit apart. melt butter and margarine together, add sugar, boil 2 minutes. take off heat and add nuts. spoon over graham crackers. bake at 350 for 15 minutes. remove, let cool, peel off foil.
if you use regular graham crackers, use walnuts. cinnamon grahams, use pecans. Chocolate grahams, use almonds or walnuts or pecans. mix and match. I like to add 1/4 c each brown and white sugar for more of a caramel taste.
