enters salon diffidently, stands in corner listening avidly, slightly confused by myriad conversations
I wish I had discovered this site years ago. I went to the meet and met Bagpuss and Xantief and Hyp and Lady & Lord C and I was charmed and amused and enthralled and delighted
Must change name. Must be cloned so I have time to have my life and live on Hootoo at the same time

Hi there healingmagichands,
Welcome to the Salon. No need to be shy there's usually somebody around to talk to. It gets a bit surreal at times but always in the best posssible taste
I used to know a guy who had healing powers.

Quite fascinating. Loved Wilma's notes. Where is the link to the pictures of Webb City? I was there and I'd like to take a peek

You just beat me to it, Kelli. Welcome to the Atelier, healingmagichands! I was wondering, when I saw the pics, whether you are a masseuse. Anyway, it's good to have you here. Yes, there are always a few conversations going on at once, but you'll catch up after an LED or three.
Kelli, I'm not moving anywhere. The proppitty in question is a nice piece of land here in Lincoln that I had hoped to build a home on. But that's not going to happen now. My life has taken a different shape since those plans were made.
I hope my beachy remark was understood to be a joke. With the exception of Harlech, the only beaches I saw when I lived in the UK were celebrations of rock and gravel.

thanks for the link!
Yes I am a massage therapist. I feel a lot like Old Man Kangaroo, very much run after. The lesson is be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

By the way, with the pregnant ladies around I think that possibly a small exercise room ought to be installed in the atelier somewhere... a few nice mats for the Lamaze classes, energizing music, a couple of high tech tread mills or elliptical trainers so they can get the regular aerobic exercise they need and not have to leave the conversation. It appears that if you leave the conversation for more than a few minutes you will then have 8000 posts to read in the thread before you can catch up. How do you guys do it????

Is land expensive in Lincoln? I'd *love* to build my own home from scratch but the cost of land here is pretty prohibitive.
You're welcome healingmagichands Did you see the thread where I got confused because you live in Lebanon? I got all excited and went to fetch Wilma *before* checking your PS and finding out that you are from *different* Lebanon. Ooops

No, I didn't read that thread kelli, but I did get all excited and send a post to Wilma. We exchanged about two sentences and then that was it.
BTW, I did a little research one day and discovered that there are 11 states in the US that have a town named Lebanon. We have a busienss here in Lebanon MO that builds barrels for wine and whiskey makers. Interestingly enough, they have a stave cutting facility in Lebanon Kentucky and just recently bought another cutting facility in Lebanon Indiana I am starting to wonder what the connection between white oak and the word Lebanon is

Lil: "Bagpuss, I hope customs doesn't open your geode!"
'Did you pack this geode yourself, sir?'
'Has it been out of your sight since it was packed?'
Well, Xantief's off. He is planning to visit you, Lil, as long as the s in Roswell don't abduct him first.

magichands, There's a link on A304354 to the offsite atelier pages, and from there you can find a floorplan. We have unused rooms in the exhibition area; please pick one, and we'll ask Affi to send up some workbots to tailor the place to your needs.
Sounds like Xantief will be here by tomorrow or Saturday. Cool! He can camp on my property.
Night and day! My new realtor just phoned, full of ideas for marketing my land. After being ignored by my previous realtors, this is such a refreshing change.

That does sound like an up for the property Lil, an interested realtor who is on the same sort of wavelength as you.
Hello to those new to the salon, brought over here after the meet.
Is there the 'beware the backlog' sign on over the yet Lil

cost of land here is pretty prohibitive., not every where just the bits your looking at, as four building costs, furtunes can be saved by going down instead of up, or in some cases into the side of a hill, plenty of places for sale that wont take "conventionol home" but yes to eco home.
And a fair few grants to be obtained,
Even seen a couple of 1920s public convinience converted to dwellings.

Hello healingmagichands!
Don't mind me if I join Ben and Kerr in crossing my legs. These things better *not* happen in threes.

hmh, it's wonderful to have you in the salon. You'll like everyone here.
OK. I have two left over raw chickens I am preparing to throw into a large crock pot to cook while we're out and then Bagpuss and I are off for a little sightseeing.
