Crosses legs
Freddie's dancing all over my life at the moment. Couldn't book a hotel for the meet from work yesterday, got home, couldn't get online. I should have got t'Internet restored today though. Then got a call from the solicitors confirming that in their view the vendors are trying to sell land they are not entitled to.
Still. Onwards and onwards.
By the way, Sol, Ag, Wilma, Caer, BB, Phil, anyone - who's going to be at the Meet on Saturday?

for Caer - it's some extra hours in the day so that you can spend the same day online gaming *and* enjoying the sunshine!

Deary me, that does seem a bit naughty of the vendor Ben. Are you going to point this out to him?
Belated birthday wishes Caer
Oh go an I'll admit it here (as long as you don't tell anyone) me and MC are going to the meet at the weekend.

Thanks again for the Birthday wishes and gifts!

I enjoyed the Hillybilly meet photos and glad to hear you all had a good time. Although I don't see why anyone couldn't with Hyp as the hostess.

Hyp, just read your Post entry about your UK castle visit, and very good it is too.
I was wondering if when people visit UK from abroad are they warned not to drink the water here? The reason I ask is it is difficult to know what other people think of Britain. All the travel books I have seen are for UK people visiting other countries, of course.
When UK people go abroad they are even warned not to drink water in some European countries.

Trouble is are water is now fast reaching the standered of other countrys, I never fill a glass of tapwater in the dark, well rarely

Any way to find out who *does* own it Ben? Or is it common land or something?
Was hoping to get to the meet, but think we may have to spend it working on The Bloody Kitchen instead - this was what prevented us getting to Z's housewarming too. I want my weekends back Not got that many of them left before I lose them permanently...

Ning All,
Belated birthday wishes to Caer and a it's a personal close proximity environment cooler that has no carbon debt.
Great pics from Phred of the meet looks like everybody had a good time, must try those beer can chickens while the weather holds.
Becalmed in the kiss my **** latitudes, maybe it's Freddie but its a waste of good holiday time. Lots of pottering to enjoy.

*Was* going to be at the meet, but a certain amount of financial embarrasment has unexpectedly crept up on us .

Hypatia Posted Jul 6, 2006
We did have a good time at the meet. I was happy to have everyone here. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. When we started talking about having one, I was thinking it would be primarily a salonista meet. It turned into a UG meet instead, so we still have to have a salonista one sometime.
Xantief is packing up his tent and steeling himself for the trip back to California. I'll have Bagpuss for a bit longer. He has decided to catch the bus back to Toronto from St. Louis instead of Joplin, so I'll drive him up there tomorrow morning. We should have time for him to go up in the arch and do a couple of other things before his bus leaves. There's a lot to se in St. Louis so it will be easy to keep him entertained. I think he should see the brewery and the Clydesdales since he made a point of saying he would never drink the National Beer of Missouri.
We are warned not to drink the water when we go to Mexico and other countries south of here. None of my guide books for the UK mentioned water at all except for the kind falling from the sky. Also, we don't have to get shots before we travel to the UK like we do before going to some countries. So I guess you guys pass muster with our health department.
Caer, I hope you had a great birthday. Sorry I was too distracted to send greetings at the proper time. Here is a lifetime supply of catnip balls for Cassie, so you don't have to keep popping out to replace the ones she loses.

If Xantief hasn't left yet, tell him he's welcome to drive through Lincoln. Give him my real name -- all he needs to do is stop at the post office or ranger's office , or really, anywhere in town, and ask where I am.
Bagpuss, I hope customs doesn't open your geode!
I agree that Madame President Hypatia proved to be an excellent hostess from all accounts, and that we are proven wise to have made her ambassador.
More rain promised today, and I think my neighbor will be coming home, too. She will be so pleased to find that her lawn has turned green in her absence.

The tap water quality in UK is excellent, it has to be to comply with regulations. The whole bottled water industry is a marketing scam. Remember what Evian, one of the top brands, spells backwards. BTW the quality of our beaches has also improved beyond recognition thanks to privatisation and European regulations.

What, have they got sand on them now?
I loooove my new realtor. She was extremely pleased with the property, which was badly under-represented by the previous fellow, already has a buyer in mind, and we had lots in common, personally. After the Hummer-driving upwardly mobile realtors I've been dealing with, it's a pleasure to think the commission will go to a single mother pacifist with seven cats.

Lil,
What's not on our beaches is the point, like raw sewage and other nasties. What's a realtor ?
