for Z.
Those multiple choice exams are awful, I failed one when on two questions the correct answer was all of them!

Multiple guess exams can be made very difficult if the person setting it works at it a bit - makes several answers partially correct, makes several answers almost the same, etc. I'm sure you'll do fine when you resit it, Z.

Lincoln: No trains, no banks, no doughnuts, no gas/petrol stations, no stores of any kind. Restaurants in season.
Z, bad news, but I'm sure you'll do well in the re-sit, especially after you get a chance to go over your answers to the first one. Not only do you learn where you went wrong, but you get a chance to look at the mind of the test's author(s).
Just in case I don't get a chance to log in later, I'll be away until tomorrow night; on Friday, I'll start a new conversation. This one is quite interesting, and won't suffer for riding on a bit longer.
Coda on that story about the stranded trail riders -- everyone got down OK. The biggest snafu was with old Johnny Thomas's grandson, who rang the police when he saw the riders, to complain of trespass. Johnny had to sort it and his grandson out. But we are all pretty understanding, as Nathan was due to get married later in the day.

I've never seen a Starbucks or a Krispy Creme.
Last month they had a key lime pie donut that looked so good, I almost took a train down to NYC to get one... almost!

Starbucks serves burnt coffee that is terribly overpriced. You are not missign much.

Coffee is the elixir of the Gods. Something that contains the Holy Caffeine cannot go wrong.

Krispy Creme is good but Tommies is better. Their glazed are about the same but Tommies' cake dougnuts and others are much better than Krispy Creme.
I love coffee but don't drink it any more. (vanilla roast! YUM!!!)
Costco is very large and has lots of great stuff, but theres never anyone to help you when you need it.
I like tests but I hate "mickey Mouse" homehork!
...And yes you can get headaches from dehydration.

for Z. Bet you do great next time.
I thought I was drinking enough yesterday while we were working, but I guess I didn't. It was in the high 90's with high humidity - very uncomfortable. And I'm not used to working as a mover. And not as young as I used to be. It would have been stressful if the weather had been perfect. We had a deadline to get the stuff out of the building. And the shelving and counters had to be disassembled. The counters were glued to the floor, for Pete's sake!

Thanks, I hope I'll do well in the resit too, I'm annoyed because I felt I did all the work I could have done, though I guess that I mustn't have done.
I've heard a rumour that the university asked the department to make the exam harder, I have a feeling that rather than set harder questions they just increased the pass mark. I thought I got 38 questions out of 50 right, the pass mark is meant to be 50%, though they've admitted it was adjusted to take account of the fact that it was a mutlitple choice and technically a monkey with a pin could have got 20%,
I've had mcq exams twice every year since I started university, and I'm a fourth year now, I'm usually quite good at estimating what I think the mark is going to be. I never usually get it more than 5% out... until now..

Montana Redhead (now with letters) Posted Aug 5, 2003
Hello, Mr. Cyde, I don't believe we've met. I'm Montana Redhead, usually known as MR.
I've had both fresh and not-so-fresh Krispy Kremes, and frankly, I remember being a kid and liking Dunkin' Donuts better. They're overly greasy and their bavarian cream sucks.
Just went to costco this past Sunday. Bought a lot of meat (I buy the bulk and individually wrap it to freeze), a lot of blue cheese, and asparagus. Last night we had steaks stuffed with green chilies and cheese (cream and queso blanco), and grilled asparagus. It was lovely. I have chicken breasts thawing in the fridge...any ideas what to do with them?

I like the Frappucinos (even though they give me headaches).
I am not a lover of coffee, in fact, I haven't had a cup in about five years.

I detest hot coffee, but I like coffee ice cream and, like Sporky, frappuchinos. Go figure.

Welcome, My Cyde.
I haven't seen a Krispy Kreme in the UK, but Dunkin Donuts have been here awhile and Starbucks are everywhere, including 3 here in Guildford.
I'm glad you're feeling better, Hypatia. I must make an effort to drink more water too, my head is throbbing gently. I thought I heard thunder this afernoon, but nothing came of it.

Greetings Mr. Cyde.
MR - I would just coat them in olive oil, add equal parts fresh ground pepper, sea salt, and fresh minced garlic .... throw on the grill.
Or you could slice the brest and place blue cheese within .... cut back on the sea salt and throw on the grill.
If you have the time, then marinate them in a mojo sauce
