I ignore funny noises from pc fans until they fly out of the case and embed in a wall. No2 son's No1 pc has 5 fans in it, when he is at w*rk it crunches units for Seti, but I never turn it on if I'm out of the house for more than an hour as it makes more noise than the 1200 spin cycle on the washing machine.
I don't think PWM's team need to carry guns to impress. In spite of being decidedly unliberal when it comes to gun carrying, I do like them. But then I was brought up around them as an Army brat.
Just back from the local supermarket and it looks as if the locusts got there first. All the freezers were half empty and there were great gaps on the shelves. At least I managed to get all the ingredients I needed for Sunday lunch when Dad and the in-laws are coming.

Well, the humidity is very low and it's very dusty, so I have to expect that stuff will work its way into the gubbins. But I can't get into the power supply to clean the fan...
I have some good hats from Lincoln here: http://www.asterlil.com/misc/hats.htm

Be careful out there -- someone is using Microsoft Support as an alias to send viruses via email. I have received two already this morning.

sea, Coke is also known for being able to clean the rust off iron. Perhaps he felt you needed a good scrubbing?

Those are good hats. Wonder what the be hated Munchkin will make of them. Don't think they're his style mind you.

Phil
I take it thats supposed to be a hatted Munchkin, which is the type we know as opposed to a hated Munchkin, which is obviously an imposter

I'm free from exams at last, only got two presentations and a essay to do in the next three weeks. Not to mention cleaning my room, the and subbing three entries, to go, and browsing Peer Review!!

My brother (against all hope, concidering he was in danger of failing at midterm) graduated from Highschool last night! Of course, he stayed out all night, well past his curfew. His excuse for not making curfew? He didn't want to drink and drive...
Sea, sounds like you got an earfull.
Lil, I've lived in Arizona all my life, and I'm still not used to people walking around in cowboy hats. I guess there's a difference between Phoenix and towns like, for instance, Showlow... maybe they wear cowboy hats in showlow... I'd love to own a nice Stetson. It would go well with my silver bolo-tie, which I never wear because all my friends insist that bolo-ties are tacky, despite this one being quite elegant. I'm just looking for a good excuse to wear it
I'll be in Tucson this weekend, and likely without h2g2 access. Later!

Well, today is proving to be dangerous to my mental processes. My team is angering me and my customers are idiots. My collegues in India are playing dumb and ignoring the rules.
Matina, have you anything with enough alcohol in it, to make me forget this day?

you guys are a riot!
the bf claims he was only trying to have the soda fizzing noise in my ear, not the soda itself. a likely story. i'll get back at him by letting his ferret play in a bush in the park that is notorious for covering the poor thing in sap. the last time we had to cover the ferret in peanut butter to get the sap out. 'twas quite hilarious. i'm tempted to do it again, just so that i can get a picture this time. BWAHAHA!
now that i think of it, it's a good thing the peanut butter worked, because if it hadn't, we might've had to shave her!

A shaved tube-rat? That would be a sight.

Nair is a hair removal creme sold in the US .... just dip the ferret in and let the creme do the work
Of course, it is entirely possible that I am no longer making sense, too.
Now for something completely different:
A quiz to find out what OS you would be ....

So it wasn't just me who read coutesy's posting and wondered what he was on about. Guess it's a US thing.
