On the topic of hair removal creams, I wonder why Immac reverted to Veet?
Nair was available in the UK, but I haven't seen it around lately.

Ah but what about Windows Runtime - as used with the early PC versions of Framemaker (I think) - before MS Win 1.0

I'm the Amiga OS
According to the blurb " ahead of your time"
Which considering my time was in the era of punch tape probably isn't difficult
Shame it's one of the few OS's I have never come into contact with

Phil
OS/2 was a fine piece of kit for it's time, if Big Blue had developed it on it's own from the start, instead of trying to partner M$ and then falling out. then ....

For the non-geeks BSOD = Blue Screen of Death .... and is what you seen in a Windows environment when the computer
a) doesn't like something you have done
b) doesn't like something the program has done
c) doesn't like you
d) just doesn't feel like playing

O'Rielly has the book "Running Linux" but it is not for the feint of heart.
Unix for Dummies, was not too bad, but dated info.

I do have to apologise for this regression, but I almost expectorated my rather fine M&S Gewurtztraminer when I read Seas post about ferrets. I have obviously recently been exposed to too much vit D in teh company of other like minded (erring on teh mysoginist) brothers and developed an ear for a little bit of that staple English diet-innuendo- but on first scan it appeared to be the sort of line that Edmund Blackadder would have given his right leg for and reporting activities that would have the late and much respected Mrs Whitehouse rotating at an impressive RPM. Fortunately it was all very innocent, unless you have the misfortune to be the first Naturist ferret in Ca, with a recently acquired and now deeply embedded dislike for depilation. Are ferrets a common pet in teh democratic peoples republic of California? they tend to be a bit of an assault on teh olfactory system?

PWM, so far as I know, the ferret is illegal in the PRK (Peoples Rebulik of Kalifornia) for unknown reasons. And while they can be very musky, their muck glands can be removed. They are reasonably common in the Land Behind the Zion Curtain. My neighbor used to have one who was a darling little creature till she wanted to run up the leg of your trousers. That always took me by suprise.
Hmm... I have a bottle of Gewurtztraminer in my cupboard. I should chill it and use it for a little mid-work-week recovery.
Key: Complain about this post
