Here is another pumpernickel recipe that actually includes some liquid besides the molasses and butter:

That first one seems to be on the sweet side, but I think I'll have to try both.
My AIM name is jdelaphant, but I always forget to start up AIM unless I'm at work and it is a critically busy day when I don't have time for conversations .

On the Front Page today, a new form of poetry - the triolet A1047872. I've started a thread for trivial triolets. Anyone else want to join me?

Hmmm... I'm using Trillian for the AIM, and I don't have any AOL account - seems I can't use the search function (or at least it won't work for me) - my nickname/on screen name is Aituar
Triolets? Sounds interesting - I'll have a look!

I have AOL so I can chat with my sister, a niece, and a couple of friends. Sometimes it's a pain. I've taken to hiding from them. I log on at weird times when I know they won't be around. Ok, I know that's awful.

Hey B4....go to your personal space and read the mini meet thread.
I can't believe he unsubscribed to a conversation with me....just because no one had posted to it for several weeks...

That reminds me, we should pick up the slack on the Panto.

Yes, we must make a concerted effort. Tomorrow evening perhaps?

Just popped in to retrieve my tureen. I need it at the Dandelion Diner. Hope you folks enjoyed the soup.

Z: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A904961 takes you to our long-running pantomime, The Mother of All Gooses. There is a link at the bottom of that page (Click on "Let the play begin!") which provides the visual backstory.
You would have a lot of reading to do to catch up with everything that's happened, and until it ends I can't even tell you what it's about. Not because I won't, but because it won't make sense until then, if it ever does.
Read the Cast thread to get a good idea of who's in it. We're at the Crossroads right now, about to head on to the Gingerbread House.

Well, I have successfully married off Njan and Nyssabird. We had a very quick ceremony on the top of a mountain in Eastern Washington. The wind and snow drove us back down into Idaho for dinner and basic celebration. More details to follow.

Oh, and thank you for the soup, Wolfgang!
This evening I have been out doing those star photography experiments I was promising. The results probably won't be of interest to any but star s...

My compliments to the .
I'm just astounded by this wedding thing. I don't think it would be possible in the UK? Is it legally binding?

You have to be officially licensed or have a civil ceremony, for a marriage to be legal in the UK. It is only in the last 5 years or so that we have been allowed to marry in places other than Register Offices and places of worship. There are strict rules to adhere to for public venues and they have to be open to the public. So private houses and gardens are still not allowed, but I believe that is under consideration.
It sounds an interesting ceremony though, with wind and snow! Was the site a place of historic/natural/personal interest, Marv? Do you have any more marriages to perform?
Happy (Belated) Birthday, Phil (a pair of powered walking boots for when the going gets rough)
