Yes, Amy, it is fantastic.
I think that the wake up call for me was when I could drink $100 away in a night and hardly feel the effects. I have cut way back, and aside from the odd times that I over indulge, I rarely drink to excess any more.

The Community Artists have *finally* got badges in goo. Hooray!

Amy, I like the banner. This one has your name on it when you put your little arrow on it, but a lot of the graphics on the Front Page don't do that. I'm never sure which ones are yours. I'm probably missing something obvious again.
I don't know why everyone hates alabaster. I like having the navigation bar at the bottom of the conversation pages. It makes it easy to navigate, that way.

I, too, like alabaster. Goo takes too long to load in my old machine. But, and this is the good stuff, in two weeks I will have a laptop! Got a killer deal on a really nice, fully loaded Dell. I really wanted the iBook titanium, but frankly, I can't afford it, so I went with the Dell. It even has a WiFi card so I can connect to the wireless network on campus.

Just saw my goo badge!
Has anyone noticed today's Google logo?
Amy does a lot of the Community Artist work, y'all -- particularly, she is always there to volunteer when the Italics drop a bunch of "Can you do this by tomorrow" requests on us. I am only good for about one illustration every month or six weeks.

Hypatia, the front page graphics link to the relevant article and the credit for the can usually be found at the end of the article in very small letters.
Post graphics usually aren't credited. This week I did the banner, the roosta towel and Uselesss Hound's cartoon.
The full catalogue of my work can be found at Graphic Ants (A400500) but it is nearly two weeks out of date at the moment. I have nine blobs to add to it this weekend. Nine! I have been a busy .
The full catalogues of Community Artists' work are linked to page U204560. But again I only update them once a fortnight.

Lil, I have seen the Google logo, but I don't quite get it's meaning. Missing someting, am I?

I realize I may sound like a cultural idiot, but I wasn't aware anyone else outside the former lands of the British Empire (including ourselves) used the N word, Sol. How unfortunate.
In other news, tonight I get to leave work early to indulge in another great birthday I received--a gift certificate for a full body massage! Ti gives a great virtual massage, but I am in desperate need of one in reality.

OOOh, I'm jealous. Who gave you that, you dog?
Off to wrestle with Foucault again, I'm afraid. It's getting a bit much, really. 20 pages on the normalizing discourse of the press during the Jack the Ripper murders in 1888 London. It's going to be fun once it's done, but man, I'm really having a hard time with Foucault's language.
Key: Complain about this post
