This is just asking for trouble - the president of our university announced his resignation a few weeks ago, and today we get a web page were anyone can suggest characteristics for a new president or nominate a candidate.
It makes me wonder how many people will recommend the new president be a purebred yellow labrador retriever.

Honey with onions and brandy
Only it must be made at least 24 hours before using. I have a jar full of it, just in case...

Did he look back and smile, sea? If so, he's interested!

[Munchkin] What are you wondering Phil?
Finally saw Ocean's Eleven last night. Not bad at all. Gosford Park is more my cup of tea though.

Sorry to hear your coughing again, Lil. I hope it's not the local climate that's getting at you. Loved the cartoon, by the way!
Films: seems like I've missed both Amelie from Montmatre and The Shipping News, but there's still a chance to see Ocean's Eleven before I have to rent it on video...
It's a such a beautiful day today! When I walked to town to go to w*rk, I could have kicked myself for forgetting the camera. The sky and sea had the most incredible shades of blue, really intense! Did any of you know that there is a city in Northern Norway that has as goal to paint all the houses blue? http://www.thebluecity.com/en/bluecity_color.html
I think it's so cool!

Me, I was wondering about when I might end up in gainfull employment again. Or what I should spend my days doing.
I tried to go swimming last night only to find that the pool had flooded and couldn't be used Honest! Some work on the filters was being done and for soem reason the circuits/hydrolics controlling the valves failed and the building flooded causing problems.

Isn't that the pits when you try to go for a swim and find the pool is full of water?
sea, it depends. For instance, if at the time you had a length of toilet paper stuck to your shoe, that would invalidate the glance. If not, .
Feel better, Lil.

I don't know if I would call it significant, but I certainly wouldn't call it un-significant if you know what I mean.

I think he was looking back to see if you were looking back at him, sea. So if he was interested enough to do that, there could well be a spark there.
Spring is here, the birds are singing, the sun is shining and there is romance in the air.
Two page spread in the paper today about how real fur is coming back into fashion. My own view is that if an animal is bing killed for meat, eg cow, sheep, pig etc then it's fair enough that the skin should be used. However I think it is wrong for an animal to be bred purely for its fur.
I say this with a fox fur stole in my wardrobe. I occasionaly look at it and stroke it, it is beautifully soft. My father bought it for my mother in the late fifties when fur was acceptable. She had seen it in a shop window and Dad said he could tell she desperately wanted it, although she never said anything as they were hardly flush with cash. He used up the last bit of his savings to buy it for her for Christmas that year. When she died, Dad passed it on to me and I have kept is as it has a romantic tale and sentimental value attach to it, but I doubt I shall ever wear it.

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Mar 7, 2002
Good morning, everybody. Yes, I have a second cold, but so far it appears not nearly as bad as the first one. I think I'll not work the post office this Saturday and concentrate on recovery, now that I'm nearly caught up with homework and am about to launch a round of work on the new propitty.
Caer, I have a stole in my closet that belonged to my mother, too! It has her initials monogrammed inside it. Mink, it is -- I tried giving it to Vinnie for a bed but all he did was attack it.
Key: Complain about this post
