Looks like everyone has a busy weekend! I'll be entertaining this evening, got some friends coming up from El Paso as well as the usual suspects.

Have I mentioned here that I'm looking at another piece of property in Lincoln? This one is right in town, well, on the edge of town. And the well is already in, and there's electricity, and it has water rights and irrigation. Very steep price, but if I can get it surveyed I might make a lower offer. It has loads of trees, lots of pines, and although the frontage is a bit narrow it runs all the way back to the hills in the south.

Lil, that sounds lovely. Trees are a good thing in the Southwest!

Well, Bryan was confirmed dead yesterday. I sort of expected it, but it still freaks me out. His dad said something rather lovely to me, which is a great comfort..."bryan would not want you to mourn him. He would want you to get off your butt and live your life because you still have a life to live" (Now, liberally add the four letter word that begins with f, and you'll get an idea of how Bryan would have said it). His parents have decided not to have a memorial, per se, but to have a party for him on his birthday, which is in July. I think that's for the best. A way to celebrate a man who loved life and lived every moment of his.

The only real shame here is that he never did get our friend Laura to go on a date with him. He is going to be so pissed! I can just see him now...

But life does go on, and Bryan would want me to live mine.

I will drink a toast to Bryan tonight. Sounds like he would appreciate that.
