Which side of Looney isn't *evil* ?? I guess I've just never seen him from every direction .
*practically attacks Ludwig, in overjoy of having a dog about*
Gor, the lighting in here is terrible. What sort of labrador is he, I wonder? I've always been fond of Chocolate labs.
Gwe7n, next time you're at another's desk, go to AOHell and use their java AIM. It eats up resources, but it works wonders.
sea, getting even is for the birds... and every other creature about! I'm all for exacting a cruel and judicious revenge... as long as you don't hire a hit out (better to punish him over a looooooong period of time ). Who says that the best revenge is having none? Bunch of raving Looneys! (No, not a bunch craving Looney !).
Also, have you considered a wiffle bat? A little less extreme, but I'm sure the point will be brought across

that's one of the LESS radical ideas that have been suggested, believe it or not.
i don't know if i'm going to do anything just yet, seeing as i have no proof that he started the rumor - yet. i don't want to exact revenge upon an innocent bystander. i've been calling people all afternoon, trying to find the origins of the rumor, and no one's home!
but rest assured, the responsible party WILL be found, and punished accordingly. in a very evil and embarassing way. in public.

Which was the less radical idea, mine or sporky's?

sporky's.
and BOY am i glad i didn't do what i had planned to do...
it turns out that the guy was talking about a DIFFERENT melissa, and someone misunderstood and thought he was talking about me. or so he says. i still don't trust him.
but for everyone who passed on the rumor...

Oh well, sea, perhaps it was better that you didn't pulverise this chaps private. Though I must say I was quite looking forward to the showdown.
I have passed Course Planning. I got a clear pass (as opposed to a good pass or a weak pass or a distinction. Why they don't just break down and award actual grades I don't know). I will probably pass the experimental lesson cos you are actually allowed to cock that one up, and now I have 2 weeks and 2 more assesed lessons to go before the end of the course. Spent the whole weekend panicing cos I could not get one idea for the next lesson (narrative tenses with present perfect: are you nuts? Never given a good lesson on that in my life!!! Conditionals and hypothetisising? *shudders* Phonology? Emphasis?
Stress. Stress. Stress. Stress. Stress. Stress...
Ah, well, finally settled on ing and infinitive verb patterns (no, sorry, you just have to learn the rule. No there is no reason for it. Yes, it is annoying), which is great cos I don't have to teach it, we just have to practise it.
Two weeks. Two weeks. Two weeks...

*crosses legs*
sea - just wait (revenge is a dish etc) and give him enough rope etc. he'll probably come crawling back, but if you can put up with it in private for long enough he may do it publicly
mmmm retribution.....

As I look around my room this evening I notice a pronounced lack of geckos. This may not seem strange, except that for the past few months back home in the evening it seemed that every time I turned on a light or looked over my shoulder in either my bedroom or my bathroom a small gecko would be moving just in the corner of my vision. When I'd fix my eyes on them they'd hold still, thinking that they could blend into the walls, but they couldn't.
No geckos tonight. There are skunks out in the evenings here, though.

*wakes up and looks confused having overslept* wanders into kitchen for a glass of water to take her tablet*
No Styx tonight then? Perhaps he'll come back when the US school year starts properly.
*gets a knife and shares the pork pie between Unch and Ludwig*
*curls up on the sofa*
I think I must have caught something nasty. My immune system must be shot. I hope I can get better before the Leeds Radish on Saturday.
*wonders under which armpit she should put the thermometer - having a choice of six*

Looks like I'm too late to offer my advice, sea.
Oh, what the heck. Why not beat him at his own game. Start a rumour that he had, um, difficulty performing. That in fact he couldn't do it at all. You regain your reputation and shatter his.

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Aug 21, 2001
No, that would suggest she was willing to let him try. That will not restore her reputation.
*tickles Ludwig on the tummy*

I agree. I was actually trying yesterday of a way to shatter his without making it look like sea was willing to let him try. Unfortunately it's not possible. Good thing it turns out he didn't start the rumour.
