*returning from her apartments and a long luxurious shower* Chicken wire! I'll pass the tip on to the incoming owners.
And now I shall resume my game of Myst III.

Hey Arl, you think 6 led's is bad, try going away for 4 days and finding 15 led's. That's what I just read through. I think. Could have been more, what with all of the side tracks as well. And now that I have gotten to the point of posting, it's all a blur.
On the fourth day of solstice, my true love gave to me,
Four troubadours singing,
Three kegs of mead,
2 stags a-munching
and a wild boar in an oak tree.
Congratulations on the house sale, Lil (again ) and congrats on finishing term, Chris. Happy birthday, Loony. Welcome new salonistas. Um, I know there was more I wanted to say ...
Anyway, the races I want to on Thursday were alot of fun. We were split into groups for the virtual betting and were given $500 in virtual money to bet on 3 races. At the end of the third race, first prize went to one group who had amassed $1900 and second to another which had about $600. The 5 remaining groups had less than they started with, and 2 groups had nothing at all left. My group had about $100 left. It was alot of fun and it was nice to see some of my parent's friends whom I hadn't seen for a long time.

Hi Garius! Sounds like you had great fun at the races, but it's good to have you back.
*sinks down into the sofa and watches the rain beating on the flagstones of the terrace* There is nothing like watching the rain when you've just got your outdoor chores done.
How's the demolition going, Chris?

Hey GL, welcome back!
It's going quite well, thanks Lil. The water supply to that part of the house has been jammed, the two radiators are out, and we've emptied the nearby built-in wardrobe, which is also going to be destroyed. That entire fifth of the house - upstairs - is going to be taken down and rebuilt properly this time, with a proper ensuite bathroom, and no more built in cupboards and wardrobes lining the walls. It was meant to be the master bedroom, but no one's slept in there yet as it's such a mess.
Finally, we'll have a shower fitted. I have /so/ missed a good shower. There were two in the house, but neither worked, so I've had to resort to daily baths instead, a bit of a water-waster.

[Affy, after playing with his saxophone quartet's second "gig", and after finally figuring out a few of the finer points for his harmonica. I *WILL* be ready for Jazz Band when it starts again in about half a year,....]

Yay i'm through the back log, and it only took me till lunch time.
sounds like you all had great weekends. mine was awesome. i went to a motorkana. basically you get a very muddy field, set out little tests with road cones. the drive your car around the cones as quickly as possible. it was great because it was nice and muddy and so you kept going along sideways. plus i beat my sisters times, and she almost always beats me.
as for horsey books, lil, you can't beat dick francis. i can get through one of his in a day.

Ah, the joys of shopping at Wally World. I really don't like it, but they sometimes have things I need on sale so cheap that I don't know how to refuse. I mean, there are some items I can wait on, and buy later at a local store, but sometimes, you really do need to do the annual sock shopping NOW, and you really can't find 6 pairs for 4 bucks at any local store...

Have we fulfilled our LED quota?
MRed, I'm addicted to Walmart in all its forms, and a good thing, too, because it's the most metropolitan store in all of Lincoln County, they tell me. The number of times I have gone into a consumerist trance whilst wandering through Sam's Club...
Looney, would it bode ill for you if the AGM did not go well?
Well, gnight all.

Apple may have invented the personal computer, but they didn't invent the keyboard...
Who here is going to see AI when it comes out?

However, Apple did invent the world's smallest keyboard... or at least David Levy did...
'Levy, who worked for five years in product development at Apple Computer, took the trend toward computer miniaturization to its logical end. He designed and built a fully functional keyboard, which is half the size of a credit card, with the entire alphabet, ten digits, and thirty-one additional standard size keys.'

Having failed to help much with the weekend LED quota, I supose I ought to at least get a token post in before most people (Except Loony, Robin & Co) get up on Monday morning.
I don't hold with the claim that Apple invented the personal comuter, but the certainly weree the first to succede in mass producing a usable one, before that there were many small manufacturers who have long since disapeared.
I'm just trying to work out why I'm sitting here reading Hootoo at this time of the morning, when I should be off to bed after a weekend of night shifts, Ah well something never change Hootoo takes over your life whatever shift your on

My keyboard has a double life as a Latin script and Cyrillic script one. If I use either for a while I forget where the other letters are and have to learn to type all over again. It's the punctuation marks that really throw me.
Good thing I don't often try to type Russian then...
I feel... delicate today. Gig was not bad, in spite of Boyfriend moaning that bands not what they used to be. IKF did loud angry hip hop but without the orange boiler suits this time; Nike sounds more and more like the Frank and Walters, which is a definite achievement for a man who used to be in a band who composed their lyrics by stringing together every swear word in existance; Tansy Minus were, as usual, just incapable of playing anything faster or happier than a funeral durge; Bi-2 were inoffensively poppy; The Moomin Trolls (sorry, I am not calling them the Moomii Trolls. That's wrong...), well, he, of course sang in that nasal whine which so comprehensively put off the voters at the Erovision song contest, but I have to confess to a liking for this band. There they were, live and unplugged, and available for... oooh... all of five songs. Well, it was a free fastival... And as we left, they set off fireworks, which is always nice.
But Matina, I would like a tall glass of orange juice if you don't mind. I'll be over here on the sofa with my eyes closed trying not to think about Lil's excretion story, or listen to Chris knocking down the walls...
