Robot Rumble Arena/Robot Construction Shop

*Yar's pretty much in the construction area anyway. There's no real partition between it and the stadium seats, really. Anyway, start working on the fifty foot mecha or twenty foot viper-bot or whatever evil plan you've got....*

Scandrea Posted Jan 5, 2005
*Decides to sit in the stadium seats anyway, just in case Yar needs any help.*

[Sounds become audible from the shop. There's a lot of claning, and banging, and a sound that can only be described as "chunk." Then after a moment, it gets a rhythm, and starts to resemble something made by Stomp Out Loud (a curious group which makes music -- well, rhythmic sounds, anyway -- by banging trash cans and machinery and stuff rhythmically. They have also done a video which involved one "song" with a chef in a restaurant kitchen, and even a rhythmic-sounding poker game).]

*The current fight in the arena features two robots. They fight each other. One dies. The next fight gets ready to start. Repeat*

[Yar finally finishes construction.]
[Yar] There we go!
[Out of that part of the shop steps a ten-foot-tall mechanical monstrosity with blue and white armor, and long red hair.]
[Yar] Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you ... a remake of Justice, from Guilty Gear. [winks] Except that I'm pretty sure it's /not/ possible for an underage transvestite nun to defeat this guy armed only with a robotic teddy bear and a yo-yo.
[Someone whispers something to him.]
[Yar] [to whoever it is] So? Justice is playable in Guilty Gear X2.

Oh, and here's an archive of sprites of Justice as seen in Guilty Gear X2.

*The crowd near the construction shop ooh and ahh in admiration. As if on cue, the line for applicants has just dwindled to none, meaning that walk-on challengers are acceptable*

[Yar grins and goes over to sit next to Scandrea on the bleachers]

[Yar] I invoked my Time Mage skills -- I was a Time Mage for a few weeks a while back -- and compressed time enough to get a reasonable fascimile of a robotic arcade fighting-game endboss.

Scandrea Posted Jan 7, 2005
You learned that all in a few weeks?

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jan 7, 2005
[Yar] [shrugs] Actually, I used a class-change system, like they've got in FF3 or FF5 or FFTactics. My typist was an RPG nut at the time. Still is, I think.

*The would-be champion, TankTitan (basically a large robot with a tank where most people's legs begin) rolls onto the field, ready for the next opponent to enter the ring and make the first move*

[Justice charges forward and uses Michael Sword, which consists of morphing one hand into a black sword and swinging it in a blaze of electricity. He is attempting to slash off the cannon-part of the tank, making sure he stays out of the direct line of fire.]

Afgncaap5 Posted Jan 7, 2005
*Tank Titan turn on his shielding, and the weaponry is protected, but with a noticeable ding in it. He then attempts to punch Justice in a standard pile-driver fist manner*

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jan 8, 2005
[Justice catches the fist in his hand, then whips his tail around, attempting to wrap his tail around Tank Titan's fist in his Valkyrie Arc attack. If successful, he will then whip his tail around and, if he can't hurl Tank Titan behind him, at least pull him over to crash onto the ground.]

Afgncaap5 Posted Jan 8, 2005
*Tank Titan is, surprisingly, hurled. However, he gets Justice in his sights for a quick shot while flying through the air before violently crashing*

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jan 8, 2005
[Justice tries to dodge, but gets hit in his left shoulder armor .... protrusion. He launches a Nitro Bomb and jumps backwards out of the range of the blast, which whatever it hits, creates an immense blast of yellow-orange energy.]

Afgncaap5 Posted Jan 9, 2005
*Tank Titan isn't hit, but he's in the blast range. Not only is he damaged, but seems to be having trouble getting his visual sensors back online. He's resorted to firing blindly in the general direction that he thinks Justice is, and listening carefully while he gets his eyes working again*

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jan 9, 2005
[Justice dodges the shots, jumps up, air-dashes forward, (which creates a WHOOSH noise), and brings another Michael Sword down to try to slash Tank Titan's head in half.]
[Yar] [looking at a small display] Hmm ... just a /little/ more before his Tension Meter's full enough ...
