SLR-You've gotta....fix stuff....

*SLR thinks, trying to figure out just what's wrong with him that needs fixing. As this is one of the only reasons why SLR ever thinks, it triggers an automated diagnostic system seperate from SLR's own mental processes. The system quickly runs the diagnostics and prints out (Dot-Matrix style) several very clear, step-by-step instructions for fixing SLR easily*

SLR-AHH! THE NOISE IS BACK! THE NOISE!

*The printer finishes, and the instructions fall to Oreo's feet (err....do cookies have feet?). When read, Oreo may note that the instructions end with SLR's copyright information, including information on who made him and where. This info isn't really important at this time, however*

*Oreo very carefully follows the instructions. He screws SLR's back plate back on, stuffs the instructions in his pocket and brushes his hands.*

There! Good as new... Er, where's my watch? I'm sure I was wearing it. Let's see, I took it off to get my hand down between your flazer and your gertribulator and I set it down on top of your...

*Oreo puts his ear to SLR's back and hears a muffled ticking inside.*

Uh, nevermind about my watch. Let's go check that door.

*Walks over to the map room door and tries the handle.*

*The map room door opens to reveal a room with, of all things, a large map framed on the wall. The map seems electronic, and shows detailed map of the entire Castle showing, of all things, little markings showing where each of the adventrers are currently residing. As it turns out, there is a secret passage to the room with all of the other Adventurers behind a painting in this room (the painting in question shows a large room filled with people partying). There is also a passage from that room leading to two other chambers that are marked in the "Red: Danger" key (which the Robot Rumble Arena is also marked as, so it's probably not as dangerous as it looks). Oreo may also notice that the area on the map marked as "AA5's Chambers" has a passage leading away from it that simply stops at the words "Wouldn't you like to know!". SLR bounds into the room*

SLR-OOH! What's this?

*Incidentally, the secret passage behind the painting leads to F1881348?thread=552516 when the painting is turned*

*Oreo studies the map. Then he takes out a notebook and laboriously copies the map into it, frequently pausing to find his bearings again. When he is done, he puts the notebook back in his pocket and turns to SLR.*

Well, buddy, do you think we should see who those red dots are?

*Pushes open a corner of the painting and peeks through.*

Woo Hoooo! It's Burford and KL and, er, some other folks.

*Bursts through the painting into the other room*

SLR-OOOH! Leprechauns!

*SLR jumps through the portrait eagerly*

*Walks in through the painting, and takes a good look at the map.*

"Wouldn't you like to know.."

*In the next room, sounds of continued bot battling can be heard*

[Yar] Very clever. Sounds like Affy all over, except evil. [ponders] Hmm ... I wonder if we get to keep the robot we use to battle, if we make it here. I mean, I'm /assuming/ we do ...

We should have some sort of battle plan first before we go jumping into things...

So, what? Are we going to have to go through all of these danger rooms?

[Yar] No idea. But just in case we have to go through all of them instead of just one, I think it would be a good idea to be well-prepared ...

*Looks ahead to see what they might be facing after this.*

*Assuming that "looks ahead" means through the door, it basically looks like a large battle arena. For robots. With a construction area for building anything from fifty-foot tall destructo bots to tiny little nanites (if your fingers are dexterous enough)*

*Assuming she means on the map, the only red zones shown are the ones already mentioned. That is, of course, assuming that the map is correct*

[Yar grins as he looks towards the arena. It is the grin of someone who has a plan he's making even as I type this, but which may or may not be liked by his /allies/.]

*Looks at Yar, as an exasperated look crosses her face, as if she knows she's not going to like what he's planning.*

You have an idea, don't you?

[Yar] [normal] Well, yeah. Mainly for what robot I'm gonna build if we go through here ... hmm.

*A robot pokes his head in*

Robot-Hey, you two aren't authorized to be here. Either come into the main arena's bot construction area, or head back to the party room.

Well? Which way?

[Yar] I think I'll come into the construction area!

[He exits, then takes out a small device resembling a cell phone, turns it on, and inputs something, then holds it like a cell phone]

[Yar] Hello, dad? Can I borrow your mechanical genius skills?
[Cell Phone] [vaguely irritated-sounding garble]
[Yar] Well, yeah. But even a mad scientist who works for superheroes can use some extra help SOMEtime.
[Cell Phone] [garble that possibly ends with "THIS time!?"]
[Yar] I'm trying to make a robot with unimaginable destructive force to pit against other robots with similar abilities.]
[Cell Phone] [sarcastic-sounding garble]
[Yar] [cheerfully] Yes, actually, that's pretty much what I had in mind.
[Cell Phone] [one-syllable garble that's probably "What!?"]
[Yar] You heard me! Anyway ... Let's get cracking!

*Watches and listens in.*

Unless you need my help, I think I'm going to head back to the break room and look behind that name tag guy painting...

[Yar] [pauses] Oh, fine, if you must. [shrugs]

[He gives a traditional mad scientist cackle as he enters the construction shop]
