Lance, why not ask Pastey or Shazz to put the fiction logo as a permanent link at the bottom of the h2g2 Post. There are other (similar) logos there.
I am gradually removing logos etc from my page. Some people can't access the page - or it loads slowly - because of the stuff I already have.

Eeyore, post it as a unsubmitted guide entry on your page and then, in this forum, give Lance the pages link number.

The story's up, and it's one of the best so far, IMHO. I love the odea of a plane relying on hope to fly!
I'll take your advice, looney.
BTW, my biggest problem with loading your page is the MIDI, which, since I don't have all of Quicktime, won't load but still makes the page take ages to respond. Perhaps some way of turning it on on the page?
Lance.

I take it that if I want to submit fiction, I should write it as an entry, and then leave a post here with the address?

Buff, write it as a unsubmitted entry and post the page number here.
Lance, I use the limited version of Quicktime and don't have any problems with my page. Strange indeed.

Perhaps I broke my computer by shoving sandwiches in it. Who can tell? BTW, thanks for the help when I'm not around, Looney.

Omicron - Master of Hyperspace and Chanter of arcane superstring equations Posted May 6, 2000
Well, I've written my first sci-fi story. It's at http://www.h2g2.com/A315352. Excuse the poor style, I'm only fifteen, you know.

Lance, there's an idea that I've been thinking about for a while.
Radio is a fairly easy medium to get something published on. I was thinking of writing a sketch/programme of some sort, and putting it on H2G2, so that researchers could criticise it, add to it, or change it to make it better. And researchers could submit their own material. Maybe some kind of comedy sketch show, but there seems to be too many of those around anyway.
It would be an interesting project... using the full advantage of H2G2 - communal writing instead of individual creation.

Peregrin, it sounds like an excellent idea. Have you read my two yarns on the "Fiction Page". They are written in "sketch" form.

Peregrin Posted May 7, 2000
Not yet, I'll take a look.
Lance, I've just written a short story specially to put on H2G2
I'm just putting it into an entry, I'll post the address here when I've done it. Put a link to it if you like. Thanks!

It's at http://www.h2g2.com/A315550
I'm not sure of the title yet. I've called it 'Mist'.

Peregrin Posted May 7, 2000
I like your stories Loonytunes, they're excellent
Maybe a little twisted, but that's what makes them good!
BTW, everyone try to convince Bluebottle to put 'The Last Comic Kid' onto H2G2!

I REALLY want to read that! It sounds brilliant.

Gargoyle Posted May 7, 2000
I have a story at http://www.h2g2.com/A315677
I wrote it a few years ago and only briefly reread it to post it. Its only been shown to one other person, so drawing attention to it here is somewhat nervewracking. It a bit dark. Let me know what you think.

Peregrin - I think you're over-rating "The Last Comic Kid", but I was thinking of putting perhaps the first chapter on (using "Fish Called Honda" ID to save confusion). What do you think? The whole thing is a little too long, methinks.
I've got a couple of less-exciting (if at all exciting) short stories I can put on.

GNP Aaron Posted May 8, 2000
right. All stuff is posted. Feel free to check my links, I think I got them all right, but the cock-up fairy is never far away.
Peregrin: Yeeesss, I like your idea. Being a small-time Radio broadcaster/sketchwriter myself, I know the joy and pain of writing sketches and I think your idea is a great one. Tell me more about it - I would certainly submit the stuff I write. Would you like to extend H2G2 Fiction to another page (upkept/hosted by whoever) dealing with this type of gear?
Sorry I'm not all that coherant at the moment, I'm gonna have to start taking speed if I hope to deal with the hectic pace of RL _AND_ H2G2.
Lance.

And by the way, I'll try to find time to read all the pieces - ther are so many new ones! But still, keep 'em coming.
