Er.. Cheery little ditty ain't it

I thought it was interesting. The little mystery of what it is that has got him down is rather good. The hypothesis in italics is interesting, but I think it falls apart a bit towards the end. i.e. he gets up and pays his rent, not in italics. That would be in italics elsewhere. Also, surely his friends would show more concern. If not, why don't they? Are they just knocking on his door for form's sake? They seem to think he is in, yet they get no feedback?
The feeling of decay created at the beginning is nice, and is carried through well, which ties in nicely with his eventual fate. Altogether, in my humble opinion, no' bad.

Stuff is posted. Also, I found a thing I wrote for a class a few years ago, and it's up too. I just pasted it out of Microsoft Word, without bothering to read it, so I can't vouch for it's quality.

Try the telephone Yellow Pages" under "agent" or even better "Literary Agent". You may even find them on the web

I've written something at http://www.h2g2.com/A305966. I wrote it for school when we were challenged to write stories with as many words others wouldn't know as possible, but I cut most of those out.

There are no agents on the Isle of Wight.
