You use 'country' in terms of 'Staat' but 'United States of America' is translated into German:'Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika'.
I only know one exception, when 'country' is translated as 'Staat' and this is 'EU country', translated as 'EU-Staat'.

Yes, of course, to say:"Ich mag von allen Jahreszeiten, den Frühling am meisten ..." is also possible.

My version sounds more destined I mean you can chose special seasons.
For example, "Ich mag von all den warmen Jahreszeiten, ..."
Surely, you can use your version, too although in my feeling of language
to take the article 'den' is like to draw up a shortlist.
