Noted, hey BB it's an open vote, and it *was* original. Well if you forget all those holiday films and student efforts.

Since I haven't seen American Beauty and was stunned by the Sixth Sense I'm voting for it. I haven't enjoyed a movie as much for a while.

I vote for American Beauty. That was an awsome film...really made you think.

Demon, is Soutpark electable? -It's not exactly a 1999 movie, I know, but on the other hand it's mindbogglingly funny.
Anyways, if it is possible to vote for Southpark, then put me down for that one.

I seem to have already accepted votes for it, because of the diversity of release dates it does count as 99 for some locations.

Even though Tom Hanks has been in too many Oscar winners or nominees in the past, it has to be The Green Mile.

What about The Matrix? It was an excellent movie but one film isn't going to get anyone a lifetime acheivement award.

I'm voting for The Green Mile, by far the most powerful, provoking, and brilliant film I have seen in recent times... it was *nearly* as good as The Shawshank Redemption...

Yo be honest I found it a little predictable.

I would have to write in a vote for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. This movie suffered simply because the world decided to accept all the hype that they were fed, and eagerly bought their tickets expecting to not like it. TPM had everything I wanted from a science fiction epic, and so much more. I would even daresay it was perfect, or just as perfect as Star Wars: A New Hope was, 23 years ago.

My vote goes to Green Mile. Sorry, but I was really impressed with it. American Beauty came a very close second.

I'll vote Toy Story 2, just because I prefer comedy to horror, and American Beauty just didn't appeal to me very much.

If it had to be from the list of nominees I would vote for Beauty.
But it otherwise, it might have been Jarmusch's Ghost Dog, Sleepy Hollow or Todo sobre mi madre.
